Just curious, since Betty White's going to be guest hosting "Saturday Night Live" (SNL for short), and that she's going to be the oldest guest host on that show (at 88 years old), did you ever watch "The Golden Girls" and / or do you watch reruns of it? If so, who's your favorite character? You can have more than 1 favorite character. My favorites were Rose, Sophia, Blanche, and Dorothy, as well as Dorothy's ex - husband Stanley (Stan for short), because he was such a loser, and was always trying to win Dorothy back after they got divorced because Stan had an affair with an airline stewardess! I think "The Golden Girls" was probably one of the best television sitcoms from 1985 - 1992.
RIP Bea Arthur, who played Dorothy (May 13, 1922 - April 25, 2009) and Estelle Getty, who played Sophia (July 25, 1923 - July 22, 2008), perhaps one of the best mother and daughter characters on television.
By the way, before she played Dorothy on "The Golden Girls", Bea Arthur also guest hosted SNL on November 17, 1979, so Betty's going to be the second "Golden Girl" to guest host "Saturday Night Live".
