I have been using ebates forever, but, recently they have gotten so difficult to deal with. Difficulties in the past getting reimbursed, but, more recently - I used their site and coupon code to buy some furniture and they don't want to give me the cash back. There must be a better site for this?

I've never had a single issue with Ebates. What do you mean they don't want to give you the cash back for your furniture purchase? Was there a glitch or something and Ebates didn't acknowledge your purchase, or something else?

Fatwallet is another cash back website that is similar to Ebates.

Check out Upromise. The minimum percentage back for the stores in their program is 5%.

Despite what most people think upromise doesn't have to be used for a 529. There is an option to just request a check be sent to you. The minimum balance to make a withdrawal is $10. If you request a check they will issue you one at the start of the next month.

Lately I have had to request when things are not credited. They gave me a problem with some target purchases over the summer. Now they stated I used a coupon code not on their site so the cashback does not apply. The problem is that I got the code directly from their site and it stated you are suppose to receive the discount and the cashback - really annoyed:(

I will try them - thanks!

i have had the same problem with ebates lately. my last 20 purchases 5 showed up automatically. so i copied and pasted the order confirmations and sent in the form. most of them came back as no cash back because i didnt use a coupon code from them, well yes i did free shipping, i used an additional code from my cc company for 10% off, so they didnt qualify. i understand ebates frustrations grrr, just glad they work some of the time.

I'm not sure why all of you are having problems with Ebates not crediting your purchases. I use various discount codes all of the time from random Googling (like from Retailmenot, etc) without any issues. I'm wondering if you're not purchasing from the window that pops up when you go through Ebates and are instead purchasing in a different window.

I have been using ebates since 2007 and definitely using the window.

There's a great site called cashbackmonitor.com. This lists all of the stores that participate, which cash back companies are available and what the percentage cash back is. Since I use a couple of cash back sites, this lets me compare to see which offers the most. Hope this helps!

I personally have never had any problems with Ebates, though I don't use them much anymore. But just an FYI, Ebates now owns Fat Wallet so you might want to stay away from them if you are having issues with Ebates.

Wow, glad I am not the only one! Every time Ebates comes up on this board, I feel like I must be the only one having problems with Ebates. They have denied so many of my purchases lately. Including a purchase from Lowes that would have been $60 cash back. Had I known they would deny, I would have used my cc link to earn extra rewards. They have denied other claims as well and I'm getting fed up. Also, it is rare anymore that I don't have to ask for my cash back. They almost never credit it automatically.

Would love to find a new cash back site. I'll look into Upromise also.

I use Ebates all the time and never have a problem. I didn't know they had coupon codes on their site as I always just use random Codes I find on Google and they always work perfectly.

If you used one of their codes, then I recommend writing them again with the explanation that it *was* their code. Sometimes it takes a couple emails to get action.

For those who have used discount codes from other sources and gotten your cash back, you've been lucky.. It is clearly stated in ebates' TOS that using codes from other sources will forfeit your cash back.

I understand the frustration. I'm still wrestling with ebates over an Orbitz purchase of Disney tickets. Even though they we're purchased and paid for in full back in May, I have to wait until 40 days after I picked them up in Sept. to request my cash back. They absolutely WILL NOT do anything until that time, even though many people have posted that their purchases have posted within 3 days of placing their ticket order.

OP, if you want cash back on your purchases, here are plenty of sites that will do it. Ebates has been around a very long time and generally has a good reputation. Upromise also has a good reputation and longevity. MyPoints also works well for cash ask but you do better to redeem for GCs with them. I would stay away from start-up rewards companies that promise big payouts. They tend to disappear in the middle of the night, along with the cash that you earned.

I started with upromise years ago, switched to ebates, and most recently was using shopathome. Not shopping as much online anymore though.

Always take screenshot!

I used to use ebates but now I mostly use Mr.Rebates.

I've been using ebates since about 2008, sometimes a little trouble here and there, but for the most part, no major issues. I tend to use mypoints more though, to earn gift cards that we use on vacation. I've also been using the shopping link through my discover card, because sometimes they have the highest percentage of cash back, and it's all going to the vacation fund, so if that's going to give me the most back, that's what I'll use.

I had this problem too, as did another poster on the DL board. We found that going through ebate's FB page did the trick. We both got emails from ebates that first said they'd look into it after 7 days, then the one about waiting until 40 days after last date of travel. It wasn't until we went to FB and posted about the problem that we had success. It's kind of hard to find the posts, but up at the top there is a place that mentions recent posts and you can click on "View All" or something like that. You'll see our posts if you scroll down.

There is a facebook email link that will take you directly to a manager.

I played the game with them over my Disney tickets too. Search for the Orbitz/Ebates thread and you'll find my fun. PM me with any questions... I'd be glad to help you get your cash... It will take persistence, it they will eventually give it to you... Save everything!

I have never used ebates before, but I have been using both mrrebates.com and pandacashback.com and never had an issue with them. They both worth checking out

Another fan of Upromise here. I have the Upromise MC, and usually end up getting 10% (5% for the portal + 5% for using their MC) back. No problems using coupon codes from other sites, I still get cashback.

Used to use Fatwallet a lot until I discovered how much more I got back from Upromise.
