Hey all.

We will be going out on my BDay while at Disney. We have our DD booked in at the Neverland Club that evening.

All the Parks close at nine.

We are having a 7:30 dinner at California Grill... looking for opinions on where to have a drink or two, cocktails or wine with adult ambience for afterwards.

Should we go somewhere in particular at the Contemporary - or is there some place recommended at the Poly?

Please feel free to describe as much as you'd like about your suggestions. Decor/Entertainment/Bar Selections. Would love to picture it. :)

Thanks for all your input.

If you don't want to stay at the California Grill at the bar, I would suggest Citricos Lounge area over in the Grand Floridian. My DW and I enjoyed having a drink there before a Narcoossee's reservation. They have a full bar menu, a very nice wine selection. If I recall correctly, you look out over the pool area from there, but the view inside, with the open kitchen and expansive dining room, is nice.

Enjoy your dinner and the postprandial drinks!

We leave our kids at the Sandcastle Club at BC, then we have dinner the YSH and then stroll the Boardwalk and make a stop at Jellyrolls.

I know this isn't what you asked, but it is an alternative suggestion. :goodvibes :goodvibes

I like the Mizners lounge at the Grand Floridian (outside of Citricos), it's very nice if the the little band is playing.

I also enjoy the bar at bluezoo. There aren't usually as many children there.

Even when I have not stayed at the GF, I still go to Mizner's to enjoy a few drinks. It has a lovely atmosphere and great live music. I also really enjoyed the Territory Bar at the WL. You can take a short boat ride from CR to WL. I

In my opinion, it is so very noisy at the California Grill bar.

My husband and I enjoyed the cozy lounge inside the WL, just outside Artist's Point. Big leather chairs, fireplace, etc. If you're not staying at the WL, it's also a nice opportunity to see the hotel, which is beautiful.

I suggest heading downstairs from the California Grill to the Wave Lounge. They have a great wine selection, and the ambiance in the place is unique, relaxing and romantic... And very blue.

They apparently have over fifty wine selections available by the glass. I'm sure you'll find something you like!

I was also going to suggest The Wave - this summer DH and I went there several nights and had a drink. It was a neat place.

Thanks all, so far I'm liking the Wave idea.

Although I'm positive there are a dozen great choices, due to the fact we will probably be finished eating at 9:30ish, have to pick her up at midnight and are using Disney Transportation (cab ride back to CSR after picking her up), I think it'll make the most time sense to stick with the CR or Poly location-wise.

Wow so many options.
1. The Wave...cool looking lounge.
2. Don't forget Outer Rim lounge. It's on the concourse level of the Contemporary...it overlooks Bay Lake, has a very good menu.
3. Mizner's at GF is very nice, but has a small band and it depends on how quiet you want your time to be.
4. Never been to Citrico's, but the place looks very nice.
5. Ohana's bar at the Poly can be very crowded, but a fun place to get the famous "drink in the pineapple".
6. You can go to Ohana's, get the drink and stroll out to the beach, sit on a hammock and watch Wishes (if time allows) or just gaze at the castle.

After you decide, call ahead to see what their hours are. The one thing I have noticed about WDW the bars close kind of early.
