Better Pin Lanyard

DD5 has a Princess Lanyard; LOVES pin trading...
2 things
1)Loses a pin or 2 every trip. (Sometimes more.)

2) Gets heavy and takes it off and keeps it with DH, or stroller 2 hours into the day.

Does anyone have a better hat/lanyard/backpack/idea/ what ever they use for themselves or their kids to carry/hold pins?

I have kept just 3 or 4 pins on a smaller lanyard, I have tried puting 1-2 on her hat for the day.. nothing seems to work perfect.

What if you split the pins between two lanyards so she can wear one lanyard at a time. There are locking pin backs.

My daughter was having the same issues. I bought some locking pin backs off ebay that keep the pins from falling off (the seller's name is disneypatriot). They work great. Also I found some home made hip lanyards on etsy that attach to your belt or belt loop, similar to the ones worn by some CMs. I just ordered one the other day and haven't received it yet, so I can't tell you if I like it or not.

Do they still do pin-trading? Is it as popular as it once was (8 years ago), or has it ebbed in popularity? When I was doing it you could walk up to any employee and be like "gimme". Still the same?
