Better- Melrose or Brown Derby

Hi Im leaving for Disney World on Monday and have already booked the fantasmic dinner package for the brown derby. Im traveling with 2 adults and 3 teenagers. I was wondering if I made the correct choice according to menu and atmosphere by going with the brown derby or should I change to Mama Melrose?

The reviews are mixed for both restaurants. Having eaten at both I would say keep your reservation with the Brown Derby. This is by far our favourite restaurant and we eat there at least on 2 occassions every trip. The food is great and you can't beat the atmosphere of the restaurant.

Brown Derby has a more extensive and varied menu.

First, I have not been to Brown Derby so my comments are only based on having been at Mama Melrose for the FDP a few weeks ago.

I have seen posts about great experiences at MM. We did not happen to have one. The service was terrible and the food was just ok. I told my husband I would choose the H&V FDP (which we have also done and enjoyed) before I would return to MM. So, next trip it will be H&V or Brown Derby.

I am with the people here who voted for Brown Derby...consistently good food, good service and wonderful decor. We always eat at the Brown Derby when visiting WDW...I did try Mama Melrose, but think it pales to the Brown Derby..

We ate at HBD, it was very good overall, and good choice, so I think you have chosen the right one

Based on the responses to the OP, I think we'll go ahead and keep our HBD ressies.

Brown Derby would be my choice. Have you tried 50's Primetime before? That would be a great choice too.
