Is there any ride/restaurant/policy, etc. that you didn't appreciate too much at the time, but now that it's no longer around, you realize you actually miss it? Was there something you took for granted? The original Journey Into Imagination with the upstairs playground comes to mind. It might not have been my favorite attraction at the time, but now I wish they'd bring it back ::yes::

Okay, in all seriousness, I do enjoy Soarin', Living With the Land, and Turtle Talk with Crush, but I prefer old Imagination and The Living Seas. Nemo is fun and all, but I liked when The Seas was more about the actual seas and the wildlife there than about Nemo. And then there's Future World East. I really miss World of Motion. It wasn't anything major, but I enjoyed it well enough and really don't care for Test Track at all. I mean, there are rides that I don't care for but can see how others enjoy them. Test Track isn't one. I find it horribly boring. I didn't feel that way about World of Motion and, given the option, would much rather have it back. I also miss Horizons. It's another one I just didn't appreciate until it was gone. And Wonders of Life. I really took that place for granted. I enjoyed Cranium Command and always did it, but the rest of the pavilion was just some afterthought for me. I'd spend time there, but I didn't realize how much I would miss it until it was gone.

Oh, you are so right. When Epcot was young back in the early 80's there was nothing like it, especially if you were a science nerd like I was! It was like one huge interactive science museum. Imagine the best, interactive, hands-on exhibits from the best science or children's museum you've ever been to. That's what "EPCOT Center" was like. I could have spent all afternoon in Communicore (now Innoventions) and been happy playing on the computers in there.

As far as what I took for granted, I guess that it would always be that way. Much like Tomorrowland, Future World had/has the problem of a "future" that becomes "today."

Horizons I skipped every class trip then decided to ride it and only got maybe three rides in before they closed it.

Adventurer's Club I only went the year before it closed and though I went many times I still kick myself in the butt for waiting that long.

I too miss the original Journey into Imagination I never knew how much I enjoyed the classic ride until they changed it.

I didn't ride Mr. Toad's Wild Ride when it was there because I was a tween and thought I wouldn't enjoy a "kiddie ride." Now that it's gone and I read abut it and see pictures, it looks like a ton of fun and something I would have particularly enjoyed.

So, the lesson is give everything a chance once even if it looks boring, because nothing is safe from demolition and you can't count on it being there to try next time.
