Is it better to book a standard room at one of the mods and hope for a upgrade to a king or should I just book the kinig right of the bat?

Also, which one for one night POR/POFQ or CS?

Thanks!!

for one night i'd pick POFQ because the resort is small and easy to find your way around... for a one night stay, you don't want to spend half your time finding your room/schlepping your luggage/hiking a mile to check in/out... kwim? POFQ is small and compact and easy to navigate and easy to get to the front desk, etc...

whatever you decide, you're sure to enjoy :flower:

I guess it depends what you want to do. CSR has the Maya Grill which is a nice place for dinner and you can have drinks at Francisco's afterward. Or maybe a dip in the largest hot tub on WDW property before taking a stroll around Lago Dorado and swinging on the hammocks at the beach.

As far as the bed, if its a king you want, I would book it right off the bat.

Our last trip was a very short one and I researched long and hard before choosing POFQ. I totally agree with one of the previous posts, the resort is small and very easy to navigate. We asked for and got a room on the first floor right by the pool so no time was wasted getting back and forth there. I love Downtown Disney and the boat dock was a very short walk. Loved the French Quarter feel and all the music. I think this is the only resort where you can get biegnets (in the food court). It was a great choice for us.
