Better discount later

I'm afraid if I book Free Dining today, I will not be able to take advantage of a better deal later. Does disney allow you to change the discount you apply to your reservation if a better one comes along? Can't hurt to ask.

I had used the monster pin for our Dec. package and just changed it to the free dining promotion no problem.

The only issue with changing a package I can think of would be if part of your trip is blacked out for the promotion you want to change it to.

Otherwise I don't think its a problem.

Just an FYI, yes you can switch to a better discount, but you might have to be flexible with resort and/or room choice. For example, you might now have a king bed room at POFQ...and then the next discount comes along & offers more savings BUT no availability at POFQ for that discount. So you might have to switch to POR or other mod resort to get the new discount.

Or you can be completely lucky & the new offer works with your existing choices. Pixie Dust!

Another thing to remember is that Disney has in it's policy a $50 change. They usually do not apply this if your total cost increases, and they, anecdotaly, seem to not apply it when your package cost decreases. But they have the right to charge you this if they want. You agreed to it when you booked originally with them and excepted the terms of service. They seem to charge it more often after you have passed the paid in full point, which is less then 45 days from your arrival date. I have a trip scheduled for Dec of this year. I booked on a bounceback from last Dec with 20% off room. Last week I got a 40% pin, changed the reservation no problem, cost went down approx $100. no change fee. Then when they announced free dining extension yesterday, I called and had that applied. After the upgrade to red dining I still saved $29. No change fee charged. But I am far from my 45 days. I'm guessing that 40% off or free dining is going to be as good a discount as your going to get. But I could be wrong.
