Which buffet should we dine at the day we visit the Animal Kingdom? How long will it take to get from Boma to the Animal Kingdom park?

the trip to ak from akl is not long at all... if you are making a choice, I say tusker house and make an resie for early before the park opens. REmember that tusker house is a character breakfast, the menus at both are similar.

I've never eaten at Tusker but I have eaten Boma's for breakfast (just last week) and it was fantastic!! There were a lot of breakfast items offered: oatmeal/porridge, cereals, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, omelets, potatoes (delicious), bacon, sausage, fresh pastries, carved ham, jungle juice (yummy), etc. We sampled a big variety and the food tasted fresh and delicious! It only takes 5 minutes to travel from AKL to AK however you should factor in a 10 minute wait for the bus, just to be safe. On the other hand, the advantage of eating at the Tusker House is that you are in the park already (an advantage if you are planning to eat and get done before rope drop) and also there are characters.

I've eaten at both and Boma is by far the better meal (IMHO) and if you have time you can wonder around AKL. It's beautiful. But I can't disagree with the other posters- that to get an early ressie and be in the park before opening can be a plus, too. But Tusker House is not necessarily a quick option if you wait for all the characters to come by for pics.

Haven't been to either but have heard rave reviews about BOMA, going for the first time in Nov.!:goodvibes

We always stay at AKL because they have excellent restaurants. I love the breakfast spread at Boma. We'll be back in about 3 weeks. I can't wait!!

We have done both.. They are both great, but different.

Tusker is a character b-fast and the pacing and such is quicker.

The food was great at both and it just depends on if you are in the mood to do the interaction with the characters I think
