Betcha Didn't Know...

I love dipping my fries in Wendys frostys

I dont find Skunk smell too bad at all

Within the last month I have been diagnosed with Diabetes and lost my last Grandparent to cancer

I have an aching to live in Florida. I dont know why, its not Disney related but I turn into a different, much happier person as soon as I cross the border.

I actually became a certified paralegal in 1994 but decided against working as one because I couldnt stand all the lawyers who were my teachers.

Ok here goes...

1. I lived in South Africa for a year as a teenager.

2. I grew up dancing - even went to a performing arts high school but my *assets* were too large which kept me from becoming a prima ballerina.

3. I have *been on* the big F in the middle of the Florida football field. And no, a brick did not fall from Century Tower....:)

4. I dated a current NFL player...and no I am not telling...but he is a former Gator!

5. This just happened...I fell outside Dairy Queen....(pretty embarassing to admit) - I think it was divine intervention telling me to back away from the ice cream.

1. I met my DH at an all night casino employee holiday party
2. I love football, especially high school and rarely miss our local games(my dad took me to my first game when I was less than 2 months old)
3. I'll walk up 13 flights of steps rather than ride an elevator
4. I hate to drive
5. I really don't have friends

I've performed on the stage of The Grand Old Opry.

The first time I traveled by plane, I was on 6 planes in 8 days.

I used to want to play drums for a hard rock band.

Oh, here's another couple for me:

I'm right handed, but I write in the left-handed style. Still with my right hand. Drove my teachers crazy in elementary school.

CindyGusGus reminded me of this one. I feel a "connection" to New Mexico and Colorado. Though I've never lived there, only vacationed, no where else feels more like home than NM/CO do. Specifically the 4-corners region and the Rocky Mountains. Though Switzerland came close.

Hmmm...things that drove teachers crazy, huh ? :teeth:

- I have always hated writing in pencil, so I usually did my math work in pen. No, it wasn't terribly sloppy or anything, but I had teachers take points away because I did the assignment in pen rather than pencil. (Yes, I do crosswords in pen, too)

- From the time I started doing arithmetic, I always added from left to right, rather than right to left...but still came up with the right answer. Used to drive my teachers crazy :) It's really simple...just glance at the right column to see if anything will carry, then add the left, then the right. Was much quicker doing it this way, but the teachers really tried to beat it outta me...lol

1. I have never had to go to the hospital for anything (no injuries, sickness etc)
2. I love to read anything and everything
3. I love country music and am not afraid to blast it from my radio while cruising downtown with other teens that listen to only rap
4. I have to park as close to my work entrance as possible because I am afraid someone will try to attack me when I leave work at night.
5. My dad works at the college I am attending so I get tuition for FREE.

I always did this too. I have some strange aversion to pencils. I won't use them for anything.

Add me to the Wendy FF in a Wendy's Frosty and yes my freinds think I am totally crazy too !!! (I also like my Cheetos-the crunchy ones- dipped in Red Kool Aid!!!)

Me too, keeps me on my toes.

I think I have a mild addiction to crossword puzzles, actually. They're stashed all around the house, even in the bathroom.

This thread is making me feel incredibly uninteresting...lol! ;)

You were ahead of your time. DD10 is learning math this way now. I can't help her with her homework anymore though!

1. I met my DH in college. He was my accounting T.A., but we didn't date until one year after the class. I got a B in the class. :p

2. I am addicted to fizzy diet coke. The kind in cans or bottles doen't cut it. I need to hit a drive through to get a real fizzy one. I'd buy a CO2 machine to do it myself at home if I could.

3. My friends call me the "keeper of odd knowledge." I remember too many bits and pieces of information.

4. I am going to a destination wedding (my DH's sister) in October. I'm excited about it and frustrated about it...go figure.

6. I am considering a spur of the moment trip to Disney next week with my 3 year old. DH will have the older boys on a fishing trip and my 3 year old isn't ready for all that yet. Am I nuts?

1. I only like dessert wines
2. I only went to school for 4 years total (k-12) I was homeschooled part of 2nd grade to 12th grade.
3. I've never hugged, kissed or done anything with a guy, because I've never been attracted to a guy.
4. I don't eat pork
5. I like to read books.
6. I have stayed in my house for 21 days, I didn't go outside once, and never opened my windows or opened the curtains.
7. I've raised my hand and told the professor they were wrong and what they are teaching is incorrect and they should keep themselves updated on science if they are going to teach science. I still got an A.
8. My partner gave me a diamond band last Dec and gets angry when take it off, but if I'm doing medical work I have to take it off!
9. I want children but for the life of me I can't figure out the reason people have children, I mean what's the purpose of them other than add to the population.
10. My dogs discriminate against men and pooh sized people.
11. I peel my grapes before I eat them.
12. I chew 4 pounds of ice a day, yet I don't like cold fruit.
13. My only friends are my partner and my best friend 600 miles away because I really dislike people in person, they really annoy me and I'm fearful that I'll have to talk to a lot of people once I become a doctor, but surgeons don't have to do a whole lot of talking, I just want to help, not be their friend. :sad2:

Me too! THe noise really bothers me ears, just like a cardboard box. Eek!

What a fun thread!! :flower:

1. I'm an "only" child, but my mom lost twins a year before I was born so I do have siblings that I'm looking forward to meeting one day.

2. My DH was expelled from his church (Mennonite) for marrying me.

3. I had to stand in the corner once in third grade, for turning around to tell a girl to be quiet when she kept talking to me during school.

4. I was a "band geek" in school (flute).

5. I get nervous when I have to make phone calls other to friends and family (like for health insurance purposes, etc.) and sometimes actually write out what I plan to say!!

I can taste and smell glass, therefore I must drink out of plastic cups.

I have been to more than 60 Indigo Girls concerts.

I'm the third of four generations of lesbians; my great grandmother and my grandmother were lesbians (the gene skipped my mom) and now my 14 year old daughter has a girlfriend. Any statisticians want to calculate the odds of that? My brother, two cousins and two uncles are also gay.

Ever since I was a small child, I've been obsessed with going to Denmark. I'm making my first trip there next April!

I bungee jumped with my daughter last year.

.

Wow, I wish I had you as a mom, you have got to be pretty accepting of lesbianism with those statistics.
