I recently had to do a project at our local scrapbook store - a layout listing 10 things that none of the other Design Team members knew about you. So, let's play here - 5 fun or unusual things that might surprise other DIS members to find out about you.

I'll get us started here:

1. My first car was a '65 Mustang.

2. Back in the early 70's, I was crowned a local Fair Queen.

3. I married my high school sweetheart - we met after being cast opposite each other in a high school production of South Pacific.

4. I was a high school and college cheerleader.

5. I was in the 5th grade when the Beatles came to America and I was in LOVE with Paul McCartney!!


OK, nothing extremely exciting here, but kind of fun to remember back. Anyone else want to play?

Okie Dokie

1. I have studied German, French, Japanese, British Sign Language and taught myself some Cantonese, Welsh and Romanian

2. I have visited Romania - Transylvania to be exact (and its a *beautiful* country)

3. Probably not surprising if you see my avatar/tags/sig but I *love* many cartoons and am proud of that fact!

4. I loathe my current job/workplace/boss

5. I am very fussy about what I eat (for example I only like ketchup on hot dogs and corned beef sandwiches - nothing else lol)

I grew up spelunking every weekend with my dad. We went to caving conventions and I had a membership to the National Speological Society when I was two.

The smell of black pepper makes me queasy, but I love it on my food.

I'm extremely un-photogenic.

My biggest pet peeve is people celebrating Christmas any time after December 26th or so. But I get in the Christmas spirit by about Halloween.

I love to chop up fruits and vegetables! I don't know why, but cutting up foods makes me feel happy.

I'm 33-years-old, and the majority of my favorite TV programs are on MTV.

I met my DH at a party during freshman year of college. We'd been drinking cowboy kool-aid for hours; otherwise, he'd never have had the guts to speak to me. I'm no biggie...he's just very shy.

I have an accounting degree, and I detest math.

At age 18 I was going to be a single, career woman for the rest of my life. By age 26 I knew all I wanted was to be a mom.

I attended my first football game at the age of 2 weeks, and I've been addicted ever since.

1. I played cello from 4th grade until I graduated college.

2. That I've been married 3 times.

3. That my second husband was killed by a drunk driver 3 weeks after we were married. And that I send pictures of my second husband to the man in jail every birthday, christmas and our wedding anniversary.

4. That I love country music.

5. I'm a gearhead

1. I was so shy when I started elementary school that I got sent to speech therapy because the school thought I could not speak.

2. I used to be a corporate officer at a construction company.

3. I used to wear a leg brace as a child.

4. I was a varsity athlete in high school and college.

5. I am addicted to Hawaiian Punch and Salt and Vinegar potato chips.

ok..let's see....

1. I have never been to a funeral

2. I love my TiVos

3. I don't have any contact with my parents

4. I love just hanging out with my family

5. My first car was a 71 mustang convertible, had one primer door, holes in the top, and a hole under the pedals where I could see the highway flying by while I drove, a wrench to roll down the window, and blew a huge cloud of black smoke out everytime I started it. ... and yes my parents let me drive it, they bought it for me

1. I have a BA with majors in French and Anthropology.

2. I have never been to Canada, despite the fact that I live less than 2 hours away

3. I've traveled to France 4 times

4. I worked at the TOT for one day during my second internship with WDW

5. I hate tomatoes, but I love ketchup, spaghetti sauce, etc....

Let's see...

1. My first name is Spanish. My last name is Italian. I look like I'm Irish. And yet, I am none of the above.

2. My husband and I sleep with stuffed Pooh and Mickey dolls.

3. I've never been drunk.

4. In high school, my sister and I were kicked off the school bus for swearing at the bus driver on the last day of the previous school year. Fact: at least half of the kids on our bus (including us) walked home that last day because the bus driver had taken off before she was supposed to and we weren't allowed to ride it anyway because we lived within walking distance of the school.

5. I went to my senior prom dateless...but then again, so did about 80% of our class.

Okay, here goes:

1. I was nearly deaf at age 3, had a bad speech impediment, had my adenoids out (that fixed the hearing problem), but still had extreme speech problems for a few years.
2. I have no contact with my natural father.
3. My mom and step-dad are professional clowns.
4. My dream is to become a deaf interpreter and intrepret plays.
5. I almost commited suicide once. I'm better now.

Daxx's Wife here ...

1. My feet and hands have been used in print ads for local companies. I used to work for an advertising agency and when they'd need a hand or foot model, they'd call on me to do it. I've been photographed dipping veggies in Bison brand chip dip, wearing jewelry, wearing socks for a local dept. store and so many other things.

2. I tell people that I am allergic to olives and coconut and I'm really not! I tell people that so they don't bug me to "try it"!

3. I can tie a knot in a cherry stem using only my mouth.

4. I took ballroom dancing as a gym requirement in college.

5. I have travelled to 48 of the 50 states. I have never been to Alaska or Hawaii.

hmm..

1) I'm going to be a high school senior this year!

2) I have a horse named Apache and I love him lots.

3) My worst grade in middle school was english, but my it's best in high school now that I have a different teacher.

4) I had to spend over 2 years at a tutor/ summer school because my fifth grade teacher told the whole class that we didn't have to do our homework.

5) I'm amused by school and stay there as long as I can get away with. The fights and drama make me laugh. I take early gym at 7:15, take all 7 classes in the day, and stay after school and talk to my teacher untill 3:45.

1. I was born at a hospital on the Mississippi River on the day the town's damn broke. My dad watched the flooding from the window.

2. I was named after a French Nude.

3. I skipped a grade - half of K, half of 1st grade.

4. I am a lawyer, but I don't practice law.

5. It took 3 1/2 years to get PG with DD#1 and 3 1/2 months to get PG with #2. The girls will be in the same grade in school.

1. I can ride the tallest, fastest ride that does the most unnatural things to my body, yet the Ferris Wheel makes me cry and feel sick.

2. My parents asked me at age 5 if I wanted a younger sibling, and I said no...so I'm an only child.

3. One summer I had to choose between getting a pool or going to Disney...I decided in upstate NY, the pool would be more work than was worthwhile, and chose to go to Disney.

4. My first car was a 90 Plymouth Sundance that I drove until it fell apart, and I cried when I was signing the paperwork on my next car because I loved the Sundance so much.

5. I've never broken any bones.

Ok I will give you a few
1. I had to sit on a pillow in my first car to see over the steering wheel
2. My Gramp used to let me have a half glass of ginger ale and wiskey at camp every summer from the time I was 8 to 13
3. I don't like being alone - but don't tell my family cause they would worry about me.
4. I really am quite shy
5. I want to own and run a campground.

1. I met my DH using an internet personal ad... but we don't tell anyone that's how we met.
2. I took a class called "Small Engine Repair" as an elective in middle school.
3. I blew off my final exam in an accounting class in college so I could take a road trip with my friends (and yes, I got an F in the class!).
4. I have visited 48 of the 50 states in the US (I have not been to Hawaii or Oregon).
5. I sleep really late on the days that I'm off work, but I lie to my DH about when I got up just so he won't think that I'm lazy.

1. I eat raw seafood, like crab, urchin, seasoned fish, etc. as I am part Hawaiian and I grew up on that stuff. I think I would do well on Fear Factor.
2. I have an identical twin sister and she is married to my dh's identical twin brother. We all drive Toyota Landcruisers, but different colors.
3. I have a knack for languages... I know how to speak some Japanese, some Cantonese, Hawaiian, and French. I am learning ASL, Portuguese, and Spanish, too.
4. I have a Disney-themed kitchen.
5. I am clutterbug at heart, but I am doing better. lol
