You can buy a 1 BR BWV Week 29 that sleeps 6 people!!!

For 20,000.

At least thats what it says in a ad that was in Timeshare Globe in a magazine type brouchure I got in the mail today.

Maybe it's the Boardwalk in Atlantic City!!

mmmmm, very interesting! Someone is messed up on their info here. I would love to call their number and let them explain it to me!

Maybe he means that you could purchase 270 points, amount required for 1 BR preferred view, 3rd week in July.

That would be about $74.00 pp.

I've seen ads for DVC on TUG that reference a particular week, even though that's not the way DVC is structured. Perhaps the thought is to frame their ads in a way that most timeshare buyers would understand.

Poorman and RuthnPaul,

Yes I thought probably the same thing.I did the points math and figured that made sense.

I called because I wanted to ask about another rental ad that I was interested in. I then told her I thought there was a mistake on that ad. She asked why and I told her. She said no I was wrong. She said she had taken several ads for BWV and that was the way it was set up. You bought the week you wanted and you could sleep 6 in a 1 BR.

I told her I owned at BWV and that wasn't the way it was set up.

She said it was probably a type then.

I said "whatever", thank you, and hung up.

:rotfl:
I give you credit for calling to question them. LOL

It is common for adds to have wrong or misleading information in them. It's also common for the brokers to know nothing about what they have listed. How could they know about every resort worldwide, some 5-6000 resorts or so. That's why it's up to the buyer to make sure they have all the info, due dilligence.

That's why I'm soooo glad I stumbled onto this board before we bought any timeshare. We were this close to buying from a developer for 28K at the Wyndham Palms, but hence without the money, it was a hard sell for us. I guess being young and broke and having a lot of time on our hands to do research on the web did us good.
