Best/Worst DISH ever at WDW?

Best: there are SO MANY!!! Pot roast from 50's, lots of things from Biergarten, Chicken Breast stuffed with porcini mushrooms and prosciutto at Bistro de Paris (YUMMMMY) anything stuffed with prosciutto and cheese is definately on the top of my list!!! the 1/2 lb. Angus hamburger at Chefs de France, best hamburger EVER!!! The first sit down meal I can remember eatting at DW was at the Rose & Crown about 5 years ago??? It was "bangers and mash" and now we get it every trip- I've even started making it at home. It has become our "traditional stop" at Disney.
Worst: Anything from Nine Dragons! We hate that place. My DH travels to China for work, I've gone with him twice. CHINESE food is not served in America! Americans wouldn't eat it (as often as they do) if it was actual Chinese! That said, we do like some so called "chinese" foods in America, just nothing from this place!

Best - Duck Two Ways at Le Cellier :thumbsup2

Worst - Chicken Sandwich at 50s Prime Time

My cousin lived in Shanghai for 2 yrs as a teacher in an international school and she said after living there it's extremely hard for her to eat Americanized Chinese food. Granted she's now living and teaching in Europe. She says that authentic Chinese food is SO good. I've also heard that many times from people I know who have gone to China to adopt children.

I spent 3 weeks in Shanghai this past October and nearly starved to death. The food was...well...let's just say I would sooner scarf down the General Tso's chicken at Nine Dragon's with glee than eat the food I experienced in Shanghai ever again.

To each his own.

The best, there are so many, but...has to be Coffee Two Ways at Artist Point and the filet from LeCellier, delicious!!!:goodvibes

The worst was the filet I had at San Angel Inn last summer...YUCK!!! But the atmosphere is so nice there, I really didn't mind the bad food because I was in WDW...and we had so many good meals that the yucky filet in Mexico wasn't that much of a bummer...but yucky just the same!!!:upsidedow

There have been a lot of bests, but the best dish I had on my most recent trip was the vegetarian entrée at Narcoossee's. According to the menu I took (dated 1/8/08): Winter Vegetables - wild mushroom dumplings, apple-arugula risotto with 8 year balsamic, vegetable chips & dip, and haricot vert tempura with wasabi sauce.

As far as the worst, I have never had a good veggie burger at WDW - they are actually kind of gross. There is a serious lack of decent vegetarian food (and non-vegetarian food, in my opinion), at most of the CS restaurants.

Best: Everything I ever at at Victoria and Alberts....especially the Foie Gras, the Kobe and the Carmelized Banana Gateau

Honorable Mention: All Soups at Boma

Worst: Everything we ordered at Mama Melrose. That place is just plain nasty!

Best: Probably something I ate on a trip to V&A.

But one meal I remember from my youth was from a restaurant next to the arcade room at the Polynesian. The had a Macadamian nut pressed duckling for $7.95(Or was it $11), I remember it being real good[nice crisp skin, just the right taste and texture]...course I was young(17-18) and had mostly eaten Navy food...and it was 1979-1980 timeframe. Polynesian hotel rooms were going for $79, but were way out of my league then.(Navy didn't pay well), but I could afford that meal and I still remember it for some reason.

Don't remember the name of the restaurant.

Don't really have a best

The worst was my entire families meal at Wolfgang Puck's. I had a chicken ceasar salad which looked like they slapped a head of romaine on my plate and callled it salad! My Dh had meatloaf. To this day he asks...How do you mess up meatloaf????:confused3 I think we contiplated Mc'Donalds as we were eating:laughing:

Best: Definitly the Elk, Swordfish, and Chocolate trip dessert at V & A's

Hon Mention: Tuna at Flying Fish @ Boardwalk

Worst:...turkey leg. It looked REALLY good in the MK, but it was dry and not v/ flavorful

Best: Mahi Mahi and the chocolate wave at the Coral Reef. French toast puffs at Crystal Palace. O'hana's potatoes.

Worst: Veggie burger at Pecos Bills.

I love Ohana's potatoes and the puffed French toast at Crystal Palace.

Best: The vegan entree Chef TJ made us at Boma
Worst: The vegan version of the stuffed pepper at 50s Prime Time

The best: The deep-fried oreos at Boma, or the Sticky Toffee Pudding at Rose & Crown.

The worst: I've only visited WDW once. Haven't had horrible food yet!

I love Ohana's potatoes

Oh yum - the reason we eat here on EVERY trip. We went with friends last time, and when they sat the potatoes down, I pulled the dish towards me and said, "So, what are you guys having for dinner?" They laughed and thought I was nuts until they tasted them. Table of 5 kids and 4 adults went through 3 bowls of them!!

SSHH!! I still think I ate one bowl by myself!!

best - any dinner at le cellier that starts with the cheddar cheese soup

worst - ceaser salad at pizza safari - lettuce was brown and dressing tasteless

The Best: Sweet white onion soup at the Crystal Palace.
Honorable Mention: New England Clam Chowder at the Cape May Cafe.

The Worst: Everything we had at Pizza Planet. Blech!
