best/worst days to go to parks

Could someone please list the best or worst days to go to the parks? Does animal kingdom require a whole day? Thanks

Semily--Welcome!!! It may depend on when you are going and where you are staying. Those staying on site may use the Early Entry option, but people have been saying that right now that's too crowded because there's so many people on vacation. That should change after Labor Day, maybe even sooner. I like doing the Day After approach. Go to a park the day after it has had early entry and it won't be as crowded because a huge number of resort guests went there the day before. Do go to the parks early. You can make a PS for breakfast before the park opens and be first in line. If you do use Early Entry, leave that park before lunch and go to another or take a break at the hotel pool.

Animal Kingdom can be done in 1/2 a day, but it may depend on what those in your group like to do. There's not a whole lot for toddlers, which I have, so we only spent about 2 hours there.

DON'T GO TO MK ON SATURDAY!! It's the worst year around!!

As someone who loves to stay up late and sleep in later...zzzzz.... sorry, fell asleep there for a moment. Anyway, I've found that going during the off season means you can pretty much go to any park on any day and not worry horribly about the crowds. Personally, I like that because I can stay at Pleasure Island until the wee hours, sleep in and not wake up with that awful "shoot, I should have been at the park hours ago to avoid the crowds!" feeling.

I generally go from the Saturday after Thanksgiving until the following Saturday. The first day or two, Saturday and Sunday, are sometimes crowded, but the rest of the week, things really seem to level off. I've walked on to many of the most popular attractions, no matter which day I go.

I will say that even in the off season, you want to hit the water parks during the week, rather than on the weekend. Blizzard Beach, my favorite, fills up fast! But on, say, a Wednesday, it gets crowded, but not overly so.

Do NOT go to MK on a Saturday!

MK: Tuesday or Wednesday. (Try Thurs, but be ready to Hop.)

Epcot: Anyday. (Big enough to hold huge amounts of people.)

MGM: There's no great day for MGM right now, so break it into two days so it's not as frustrating.

AK: No specific traffic pattern, so hop if it's too crowded.

DTD: NO WEEKENDS! Mornings are generally empty, evenings packed, even in the off-season.


I can't help you with the water parks, because I'm not a water park person.
