best/ worst character meal food-period.

Mickey's Backyard BBQ.......the food was HORRIBLE!!!! The entertainment was wonderful and the character interaction was amazing!!! Definitely not a place to go if you are going for "great food". :Pinkbounc

LTT was best--normal everyday foods that my kids loved.

CP was just OK for me. My DH loved it because it was buffett. In his world more is better.

LTT-food was just ok, it got cold fast.
Crystal Palace-we have had three breakfasts here and they have all been wonderful
1900 PF-this is simply the best, we more than one breakfast and more than one dinner and we absolutely love 1900 PF, :cheer2: :cheer2:

In terms of food:

Best: Cape May Cafe
Close second: Crystal Palace Breakfast

Worst: CRT (Yuck! Food- except for the chocolate muffin which I think they discontinued)

Maggie

Best was Crystal palace for breakfast.
Worst was Chef Mickey's for dinner. Food was blah and the place was filthy.

Chef Mickey's dinner, blech! Great character interaction, though. 1900 Park Fare, great food, atmospher and charcter interaction.

Of the ones I have been to
Best
Tie 1900, CM's, CP. These are all about the same. I had my preferred one of these when we went but to be honest, I've learned that was partially a function of when we went and partially just luck of the draw. I've pretty much found that sometimes one has more deluxe items, sometimes another. Sometimes one has better prepared food and sometimes another.

Worst. Cinderella's Royal Table. It wasn't bad, It was good. It's just the others were better.

Note I haven't been to LTT, nor do I intend to go. I always avoid any place that mentions "Home Cookin" in the description.
I haven't been to Akershus which gets some very bad reviews.
I haven't been to Donald's, nor Ohana, nor Cape May, which have character meals at breakfast.
.

Crt breakfast was nothing special. Not horrible bt not special.
Akershus Princess Dinner was terrible . Well.. let me revise that. the starter tray ws terrible. A bunch of wierd raw ( maybe pickled) fish, odd cheese, and the worst chicken salad I ever tried. So bad I have not eaten ANY chicken salad in almost a year because of it. They did bring DD fruit and cheese but insisted I have this one. Yuck. Run away from the starter plate

Worst food, so inedible we barely touched our food: Chef Mickey's for dinner,

Best food: Ohana's and CRT

Breakfast:
Best: Crystal Palace (hands down)
Worst: Donald's Breakfastosaurus

Dinner:
Best: 1900 Park Faire (or LTT...just MHO)
Worst: Chef Mickey's

It's always incredible to see how opinions differ!! One loves CM's, the other hates it...so, there really is something for everyone. But, it does make it hard to make some choices. I guess you just have to bite the bullet, so to speak, and try what looks good to you/your family.
The one meal I forgot all about was Askerhus...the princess meal. We ate a late lunch there last June...I was really dubious about this one since I really don't care for Norwegian foods. But, I was surprised. I know a lot of people liked it the way it was...a buffet, with many choices. But, with the exception of the fish, I found I could eat most everything on the starter plate. I had, if I remember correctly, a chicken salad thing as my main course and it was pretty decent. Not your regular chicken salad though. And the dessert plate was yummy.

Best Breakfast - Ohana's and Cape May
Worst Breakfast-CRT -gross is an understatement! Lunch was poor, but breakfast was nasty!

Best Dinner - LTT
So so dinner - Chef Mickey's

I guess it all depends on a person's likes amd dislikes.

We have mixed reviews in our own house.

Crystal Palace-Breakfast everyone likes this meal. Character interaction very good. Dinner everyone likes this meal. This is my DH favorite. A must do.

Cindy's-Breakfast pre-plated food, good. Character interaction good. Dinner before changes everyone loved the food. Maybe we will return, I'm disappointed that you can't go here and just have a meal.

Liberty Tree Tavern-This used to be one of our favorites at Magic Kingdom. We've found over the years the food has slipped a lot. Character interaction has always been great here. Don't know if we will return. DH say no.

Chef Mickey-Breakfast good. Character interaction very good. Yes we will return.

1900 Park Fare-Breakfast very good. Character interaction good. Dinner very good. This is my favorite. A must do.

Ohana's-Breakfast fun place. Food OK. Character interaction good. Yes we will return.

Princess Storybook-Breakfast food OK. Character interaction very good. Some liked it others did not. Don't know it we will return.

Donald-Breakfast food OK. Character interaction good. Long way to track to. Not a family favorite.

Old Hollywood and Vine-Breakfast not very good. Character interaction great. Dinner gross. Don't know if this is where the new character breakfast is going to be. Guess I'll have to try it if it happens but only for breakfast. Hopefully the food improves. I would never return here for dinner.

Best - Crystal Palace breakfast
Worst - CRT (breakfast) or PSB

Best Character - Crystal Palace
Best Food - O'hanas
Worst Character - CRT (very rushed)
Worst Food - LLT (microwaved food!)
