Best/Worst Bathrooms at the parks...

We were at the world July 11-15, and I was surpriosed(pleasantly) at how clean the restrooms were, espececially in the MK. I agree the rest rooms by the old Odyssey rest. in Epcot are very clean and quite quiet, also the upstairs at CHH, one of MK's best kept secrets. Fantasyland bathrooms always seem to be busy(so many little kids). The bathrooms at the Wl were all spotless. I think DW has improved on the "automnatic flush" toilets, they actually flushed this time, far less "messes" then on my last trip.

I wasn't going to say anything cause I didn't want the secret to get out, but since Juls already mentioned it, the restroom in the Biergarten Restaurant is the best. Very clean and never crowded.

The restroom across from Rose and Crown is usually pretty decent for the amount of traffic it sees. But a hint for the ladies. My DW says there is no where to set your beer in the stall, so leave it with a loved one!

There used to be a website called thrones of the Kingdom which rated DLR bathrooms. During my WDW 2003 trip, I decided to take a whole bunch of photos of the bathrooms to do a similar website for WDW. I had it posted for awhile but recently I redid my website and took all the bathroom photos off. I am going back in October and decided to take photos of the remaining bathrooms that I missed last trip and do another website.

So...I get back at the beginning of November so I should have it all done and posted by mid to end November.

That is a good idea. There is a website called The Happiest Potties On Earth which has very detailed descriptions of all of the restrooms in Disneyland. If a similar site was created for WDW, I'd bet that it would become very popular.

We were in MK last Fri. for fireworks and stopped at Cosmic Ray's to use the restroom. They were filthy! The worst I have seen at WDW. I chalked it up to the busyness of the crowds and it being late in the evening.

We came out and my DD6 said she had to go! Of course she waited until I just came out! I chose to go across the way to the restroom sort of behind the Enchanted Grove. They were spotless! I had never been in those and they were very nice and clean. There was a CM in there working and as I was leaving she yelled out "There is no smoking in the restroom. Please put that out now!" and proceeded to stand near the stall of the offender! I left before anyone came out, but boy, I would hate to be that person.

My personal favorite (That sounds a little strange) is the facilities right outside the International Gateway entrace to EPCOT. It is convenient when entering/exiting EPCOT from the Boardwalk. It is always quiet back there. But it is also technically outside the park.

This bathroom isn't at a park, but I loooooove the BC lobby bathroom. It's small but roomy, always clean, classy decor and they even have cloth towels to wipe your hands. No automatic dryers or paper towels here!

We were amazed that a hotel bathroom had real towels in it. There's a wicker basket to put used towels in too. We thought it was the coolest thing. The YC and Boardwalk also have the real towels.
Cosmic Ray's has the WORST bathrooms in MK. There's always a monster line and because of the way the doors are someone's always getting hit with a door trying to get into the actual restroom. And with all the greasy food served in the restaraunt, it usually doesn't smell so hot :crazy2:
As already stated the bathroom by Kali in AK is awful. Coincidentally the one by Splash Mountain in MK is tolerable. The one just outside the entrance to AK is not great. When we used that one in April, some of the toilet seats were pretty loose, paper towels everywhere, doors that didn't lock, and the toilets didn't flush very well. And this was before the park even opened.
Whoever posted about the Scoop on Poop, geeze that just gave me another reason to want to plan that nonexistent future trip.

The absolutely least used rest rooms are in the Odyssey building. This used to be a restaurant but now is used for special activities. A few things are scheduled there during the Food & Wine Festival. The Odyssey sits at the border of Future World and World Showcase. If you didn't know better you would not know you could use the rest rooms. There are two sets of rest rooms on different sides of the building. Always clean and quiet since few people know about them.
Another really quiet spot is on the second floor of the Columbia Harbor House in the Magic Kingdom. Upstairs has a large seating area that most people don't know about. I don't think there are signs, but the rest rooms are in a back area. We were there last month and surprised at how quiet it was up there while the downstairs eating area was a madhouse.

The Odyssey building one may not be as crowded as others......but it is by far the FILTHIEST one at WDW we have ever seen!! We always use that walkway to get to and from World Showcase and many times we have gone in there and it is just a disaster! The last time in June, we ran into a former cast member and she was taking pictures because she was so appalled! And I agreed !
Another one that is dirty is the one outside the entrance to Epcot.
Over by Canada....those are never crowded and always clean. Also by Moroco .... clean and not too crowded.
Don't go to the ones behind the Liberty Inn (next to the American Adventure)....GROSS!!!
At MK.....
The ones in the cut-through from Adventureland to Frontierland are busy and dirty too....and they stink to high heaven!!!!
The ones coming out of Splash MTN are busy, but they seem to keep them clean.
The ones in Fantasyland near the old sky lift, just before the cut-through to HM, are never busy....kind of out of the way so many people don't know they are there.
Over by Space Mtn, the ones to the right never seem to be busy and are usually clean.

In MGM the ones you pass when going through the Back Lot tour are always clean and never busy.
Also, the ones to the left of Great Movie ride are usually clean but a littly busier. Those over by Millionare are never busy.
To the left of the exit from RnRC are usually clean, but crowded.

At AK just to the right as you are approaching the Safari are always crowded and not very clean.
Outside of Tarzan Rocks....never seem to be crowded and pretty clean.
Stay away from the one by Kali River....always gross because everyone goes in there after they get soaked on the ride, then they try to dry off!

:rotfl: Wow....didn't realize I knew so many locations of restrooms! :rotfl2:
When we went 2 years ago, my DD was taking medication that made her have to go like every hour! :rotfl2: It got to be a joke ... so we started taking pictures of her outside every restroom she went in. :rotfl2:

Oh - same with the bathrooms at Jiko at AKL - REAL towels!

I think the dirtiest is the one in Epcot on the right as entering WS. There is only two stalls I believe and also a family one stall next to it. The place always has a line and it is a mess inside.
Oh yes.....I remember that one now too!! that one is gross!

My fav is at the AK at Pizzafari. You can enter either at Pizzafari or from the outside on the path to Africa. It always smells like pizza! :cool1:

There is a really nice new one on the way to Expedition Everest in AK. Big and clean but that could be because it isn't on the beaten track yet (until the attraction opens).

And don't even try to get in there during the last 30 min to 1 hour before Illuminations... the line is out to the main walkway! It's quicker and easier to go to another restroom than to wait in that line. Only 2 stalls for such a busy location???

We have always referred to the on near the Enchanted Grove as the restroom that no one know about so it's usually clean and not very crowded.

I like the bathrooms in Tomorrowland near Space Mountain.

Also, at Planet Hollywood, bathrooms are very nice.

The least crowded loo is right up against the big oak tree in the middle of Liberty Square in the Magic Kingdom. The most crowded loo is the wave pool at Typhoon Lagoon. :teeth:

I've never had too many problems with the bathrooms at WDW. My biggest complaint is a lck of hand/hair dryers at the bathroom near Kali River Rapids. Sometimes, its downright cold being wet after that ride, and a quick pulse with a dryer would be a big help. (I think there are one or two, but they are always crowded with people.) After a few days at Disney, any restroom that doesn't have auto-toilets and auto-sinks seems archaic (Ironically, there are still a few in "Future World" at Epcot)

My favorite ones are at AKL lobby (love the pink granite, kiddie sink), and the ones at Bongos (Dtn Disney). Runner ups include: the ones behind PoC (I like the area outside of them), the lobby of the Poly, the pool at CS (VERY clean)

The ones I think love the ones at the big suites - GF, AKL, YC...I'll probably never see these in person, but having seen them on the Travel Channel...I'd love to 'see' them for real, if I could ever stay there for free, say.

Off property - the rest rooms in the lobby of the Doubletree Castle were very nice, and the Lobby of the Portofino hotel at Universal not only has cloth towels, but free lotion tubes, too!!!

Isn't there a bathroom at MGM with hidden Mickey's in the floor tile?

Worst, by far, in Le Cellier. Just gross. I thought I had somehow stumbled into a bathroom off the I-75 exit in south georgia.

Best, the ones at MGM to the left of the big hat. They don't have the electronic eye, which for some really funny reason my kids (5 & 6) are really afraid of. In the 'electronic eye' bathrooms they have to share the stall and one covers the 'eye' while the other pees, and then they switch. In the bathroom by the big hat, they each get their own stall and they're MUCH faster.

We plan on teasing them about this when they bring boyfriends home as teenagers...

wahh, hate to burst your bubble, but we ate at Biergarten last week and the bathrooms had TP all *over* the place, puddles of water on the floor, and that 'not so fresh' smell.

By far the best bathrooms I've been in have been in the Yacht & Beach Club. Especially the bathrooms by the downstairs bar. They have actual rolled up hand towels on the sink instead of paper towels. The place is pristine.

Edit: Oops, just realized I think this was just mentioned above on this page.

Try your best to avoid the bathrooms next to the Primeval Whirl ride in DinoLand at the Animal Kingdom park. Why? They always reek of vomit. The motion-sick people coming off the Primeval Whirl roller coaster bolt for these bathrooms, and my guess is, they don't quite make it to the throne. The floor is always wet (as a result of the constant need to mop), and the smell just doesn't go away. Consider yourself warned!
