Just wanted to let everyone that is dealing with a loss this holiday, be it a spouse, child or other family member or friend know that you are not alone.
It's been four years since my wife passed away, and Christmas ever since has been very bittersweet. On our trip to WDW this year, I bought a Minnie Angel tree topper at the Christmas store. I told the kids it's Mommy, since she's also an angel.
Yesterday while cleaning I came across some old video tapes. Threw them in the VHS, and it was of my wife and me, on our first Christmas together.
I know it's a rough time of year for some people, but do your best to remember the good times of the past, and possibly set some new traditions for the future.

in July '09. This will be the second Christmas without him and I find myself bursting into tears daily when some memory is triggered by something I see or hear during this season. I put up a very small tree this year, last year I had none. I did some shopping and need to wrap the gifts before tomorrow but I am dreading it.
