Best WiFi service for home??

Hello all! I'm looking for some advice regarding who to go with for wireless internet at home.

Background: I've recently moved in with my DBF and his family but there is no internet at his house(!!). For now I've been making do with using my phone as a hotspot, but that's limited to 5GB a month and also slow.

I've seen that Virgin Mobile offers hotspots and plans for fairly reasonable rates but am concerned because they use Sprint towers here,who I have my phone service with, but reception on my phone's hotspot isn't that great where he lives (was great at my house, lol). Believe Clear is the same, using Sprint.

Who else offers mobile internet with unlimited plans? Do any of them offer a hotspot that can also be wired (DBF has a spare desktop he doesn't use much but I'm not sure if it has a wireless card and he's asleep so I can't ask him )? Being able to hardwire isn't really important, just curious.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I've been using Verizon DSL for a couple years now and have never had any problems. The router they provided had WiFi built in (some don't thought I think that's rare now).

I would LOVE to have DSL but I'm not comfortable asking my future MIL to let us set up service, mostly to avoid issues with other members of the family.

Taking a good look at Clear now, they seem to be the most reasonable that I've found so far.

Verzion offers a mifi but you may run into same GB limits.

There are probably several providers, but you mention you're currently using your phone as a hotspot, so with that said, there's one important thing to keep in mind. Namely, mobile internet isn't technologically all that much different than using your phone as a hot spot. In particular, the speed isn't going to be substantially better, most likely. You may also run into similar data caps.
