Want to connect IPad for my trip to Dis in March. Is Airport Express the easiest to set up/use for Ipad?

I would say yes. You are going to want to set it up at home first I believe. Many people on the boards use this.

Any for those that use it...Can I buy used one on Ebay or does it need to have the latest and greatest for ease of use...Thanks

I use an Apple AirPort Express while at Disney. I really like the compact size and that it's an all-in-one unit with no external power supply. You do want to set it up at home first and make sure any devices you are going to be using at Disney will connect.

I bought mine as a refurbished unit from the Apple online store. They sell refurbished units at $30 less than the price for a new one.

You can always buy one on ebay but sometimes you just don't know what you are getting.

I looked online at apple.com and I didn't see any refurbished units. So I called, and they said they did have 1 refurbished unit. I was able to order it over the phone. PP is right, it was $30 less than the price for a new one.

I am currently using the Verizon MIFI 2200 and really like it. It was free with a 2-year contract.

I'm sitting here in a hotel room with an apple airport express and a D-Link DWL-670AP both in front of me to test them side by side. For travel purposes, so far, I prefer the D'Link over the Apple, and I'm a Mac person. Both work fine except for the AE, you need a Mac with Airport on it to configure it.

I have no idea what the "best" router is. But I have one of these D-link travel routers for DVC and it works great.

Small, cheap, easy to travel, brainless to set-up and operate.

I really like my Verizon mifi, too. It is only a bit bigger than a credit card.

Yes, but unless you need wi-fi a lot, in areas where none is available, why pay the monthly fees? Most hotels have free wifi these days, and at DVC wired access is free for members, all you need is a router. I just bring my home router (a Cisco Valet) and it works fine. Small travel routers are far cheaper than a 2 year contract for Verizon wifi.

I have used different pocket wireless routers from work including airport express, D'Link and a couple of others for laptops, ipad, ipod touch and my conclusion is they are all pretty similar both in ease of use and what you get. Ultimately bought an airport express for a rather individual and dumb reason -- its plug is right in the device and thus it is one less wire I have to remember to take with.
