Best Western Zoders Inn at Gatlinburg, TN

We have stayed at Zoders. It is an older motel. Great location at the beginning part of the main strip, there is a Ruby Tuesdays just across the street. I did think that it was very outdated though, my inlaws have stayed there for yrs and yrs. It is almost like the old time travel lodges. Your vehicle is parked just right outside the door to your room. We were just there this past summer (Smokies) and this time we stayed at the new(just built) Red Roof Inn in Pigeon Forge, it was super close to the outlets and eating places. Indoor pool and nice & clean rooms! But if you are looking for Gatlinburg to do most of your eating and sightseeing, Zoders is ok. *There is a creek that runs just right off the balcony to each room* Hope that helps!

That's a blast from the past! It is a great location and it may have been refurbished. We stayed there MANY years ago. We went to our favorite hotel and stayed a few years ago and it was a dive. The owners had sold to a company from India and it just wasn't kept up, we checked out after the first night, the people at the new hotel we went to said that has happened to a lot of places in Gatlinburg and Pidgeon Forge. Does AAA still do the rating system with hotels?

We haven't been in a few years, but Zoders is our hotel of choice. Getting in and out of the parking was a headache, but we always take the trolley anyway. I went to trip advisor and it looked like overall people still like the place. It is older but with the creek, it is nice. Most of the older hotels are on the creek. It was always clean when we stayed. We always had a good experience.

We have stayed in the small cabin before and it was very cozy. You had all feelings of being out on your own but all the convenience of downtown.
