Anybody have an experience with this hotel?

I am insistent on staying across the street from DL so that we can easily walk back and let the kids rest, if needed. I am also trying to do this on a budget. The Best Western Park Place Inn is across the street and would be $109 per night...with taxes and parking fees for 2 days, it comes to $266.70. Does this seem like a good deal for a Saturday/Sunday across the street from DL? Any other cheap recommendations??

Stayed there a few times. The price seems fine. We get the mini-suites at about $150 a night usually. The park access is unbeatable. The pool is small but OK. The rooms are fine for Best Western.

I haven't stayed at either one but Park Vue is right next store and may cost a little less.

We've stayed there as well. As a PP stated, it's fine for a Best Western. I do have a couple of small suggestions:

- Request a room AWAY from the pool and NOT on the 1st floor. They don't seem to keep pool hours, and being right next to the pool can be an unwanted alarm clock.

- Pass on Captain Kidd's free breakfast. We all got sick eating there.

- If you're driving there, don't move your car after you park. There's very little room in the parking lot.

Have a wonderful time!

I called to book the hotel and Saturday is all sold out. I am freaking out. I can't find a "cheap" hotel anywhere that isn't sold out! :( I just called yesterday and it was open! What do I do? :(

There are a couple of Best Westerns a few doors down from there - not too much of an increase in the walk. There's also HOJOs which many feel is still in walking distance.

Called all Best Westerns and they were book. Park Vue was booked. Ended up booking with the Ramada Inn Maingate. I didn't even do research on it, I just booked it! I am worried to wait any longer, lol. It ended up only being $99 a night and no parking fee. So, we saved money! :)

Definitely DO NOT eat at Captains Kidds! We ate there for dinner, it was awful, awful food. My chicken was raw in the center and I got sick too.

I think all the hotels across the street are fine, some people may have an off stay now and again as someone could even at a 5 star hotel but on the whole they are decent. Have a great trip!
