For anyone who has recently stayed at the Best Western Plus Park Place Inn, can you tell me what is offered at the free continental breakfast?

Stayed at BWPPI Aug 19-Aug 24 2012. We liked the breakfast.

Items I can report are:
toaster waffles
breakfast sausages
egg patties (not sure what to call them, round eggs, someone thought they were pancakes)
muffins
danish
croissants
bread for toast
oatmeal
cold cereal
fruit (bananas, apples, oranges)
yogurt (they had Yoplait peach and raspberry)

Beverages
skim milk
2% milk
coffee (Nescafe regular and decaf)
juices

Sounds like a good variety. Is this served in the motel, or is this the place that has the breakfast at the Cap'n Kids restaurant next door?

It's UPSTAIRS at Captain Kidd's. It appears that the hotel rents the space from Captain Kidd's and that it is not associated with the restaurant below.

Good to know. I have a resv. for feb. 6-11th. Sounds like the breakfast is going to cover me and my daughter just fine. I'm a little nervous staying off site but this is a budget oriented trip. It is a relatively short trip to California for us and the weather may not cooperate ect. I'm thinking the next time might be a longer stay during the summer months and I think I'm going to save some $$ for that one.

I was really happy with the location, room, and breakfast with BWPPI. It was my first stay with them but I would look at it again for the future.

The location was so convenient with a crosswalk away from the east entrance to DLR.

I realize breakfast is served next door, but does anyone know if you can take it back to your room?

Yes, you can bring the food back to your room if you want. I saw a fellow guest doing that.

We would also grab it on the way into the parks. Our family is always running slightly behind schedule so it helped us get to rope drop!

Thanks! It doesn't seem to matter how early we wake everybody up in our family, that race over to rope drop is always a sprint:hourglass

So no hard boiled eggs, bagels or donuts anymore?

I definitely didn't see any hard-boiled eggs week of Aug 20.

Bagels and donuts...not 100% sure about if they had them, but since we ate neither during the week I think they were not available; it's likely my family would have had a bagel or donut at least once.

When we were there Sept 25-29 last year there were none of he waffles, sausage or eggs or donuts
There were only hard boiled eggs, cold cereal, toast and bagels, Danish pastor and muffins.
Beverages were the same.

They may have upgraded or perhaps because it was low season?
We always took t back to room to eat. Not a lt of "atmosphere"

I know they had a selection of danishes, but I am pretty sure the donuts and bagels are gone. The eggs are replaced with the "egg patties". They still have the yogurt and cereals though.
