Hi there

Has anyone recently stayed in the Best Western Movieland on International Drive? I last stayed there in 1997 when it was known as Las Palmas. What are your comments on it?

Also has anyone been to the Halloween nights at Universal. I have read on their site that there are limited tickets and they run out quickly. I dont know whether to risk it and get the tickets when we arrive or pre-book. Any ideas?

5 weeks today and we are off

Thanks for you feedback

Hi Leona

Halloween Horror Nights are just the greatest theme park experience there is! We've never had any problem picking tickets up whilst we are there - we leave 5 weeks this weekend and are looking forward to attending again this year.

Best wishes

Hi floridalol

thanks for that, I was just about to order some tickets for Universals halloween night, not sure what to do now. Which park have you done for halloween, Disney or Universal?

Hi Leona

Only done the Universal Horror Night. Disney is catering for the kiddie market whilst Universal is definitely for teenagers and up only.

Please don't let me stop you ordering your tickets in advance I would hate it if they were all sold out - as I said this has never happened to us before but there is always a first time!

You will have a great time - guaranteed!

Best wishes

Halloween Horror nights at Universal Studios are a MUST DO (unless you have young children). We had an absolute blast...one of our best nights ever in Orlando. The only thing is, they are not for the faint hearted!! We walked round one haunted house and an ice cold hand grabbed my ankle from under a bed...I nearly shot through the ceiling!! Dont miss this, it really is worth booking.

We will try the "not so scary" one at Disney next year (as we have small children now, so no more Halloween Horror nights for us for a few years!!).

Thanks very much for your advice, Universals halloween sounds great. I have infact just booked the tickets for the first night. Can't wait now to be scared

I have stayed at the Best Western Movieland two years ago and my daughter and her boyfriend stayed there last year. It is fine and has been decorated since the change from Las Palmas.

No fridge but pool and location are great.
