Can anyone tell me more about this hotel?? Anyone that may have stayed recently?? (Lake Buena Vista Resort).

Thanks in advance....

I stayed there September last year and I loved it. It had just been renovated and was very nice. What I like about it the balconies and the quiet. I really recommend this for older singles and couples. There is not really any theming. But for some of us older people for whom Disney overload may be a problem this place is perfect. I recommend that you reserve a park view and the peace and quiet will really make you feel you are on vacation. The balconies overlook a woodsey area and a lake, perfect for early morning coffee.. I always try to eat at the parks so the fact that the resturant isn't much doesn't bother me. If you want to eat in your room Crossroads is only a 10 15 minute walk away and the hotel does rent fridges. Many people with children might not like the shuttles because they do stop at all the DTD hotels. But for me the transportation is just fine. Many times I keep thinking I would rather stay "on-site", but I really like this area and especially this hotel. I have stayed at the Royal Plaza which is very nice but no view and the Grosvenor( never again). In fact I am debating for next Sept and I think I have made up my mind to stay here again. It just is perfect for me!!!!!

Hubby and I were there for one night in October and it was fine. It's a bit more of a walk than the Hilton or Wyndham but not too bad. The hotel was quiet and the rooms were clean and
a nice size. They seemed to be having a lot of family reunion-type things going on while we were there but no one was too noisy. We didn't use their transportation. We walked over to DTD and used the Disney busses. We got sandwiches at the Earl of Sandwich in DTD to bring back to the room. They were a pretty good late-night supper and great value. We paid $69 for the night which I felt was a good deal since the CBR was completely booked for that night.

We just stayed here (10/28) for one night and it was okay. The decor is nice but the bathroom is small (family of 5). There was mold on the shower curtain but everything else was okay. they had an arcade which my DS's loved. The pool was small but we didn't use it. The front desk people weren't so friendly. The bell desk wouldn't let us take up our luggage...meaning we had to tip him. My DH said the lounge was nice. We only stayed for one night and I don't think I would stay for a long period of time. JMHO.
