I was going to book BWPPI for 12000 BW points a night a few weeks ago, but we were a few thousand short.
We have enough now, but it went up to 28000 a night!!
So I began looking at BW Anaheim for 16000 points, and overnight it went up to 24000!
What is going on? I've checked my dates (2/8-2/11 not a holiday) and nothing big is happening in the area.
I don't want to hike from BW Stovalls, but I'm running out of options.

Does anyone know if the price will drop again? Is this a false high of some kind? :confused3

With things like this prices can change overnight , literally. There may be underlying reasons or from the company itself. You could always try calling to see if there is any other option. Good luck !

Sometimes it's one night of the stay that is the issue, usually the Saturday. I'd call and see if they can tell you what the deal is. I found the folks at the BWPPI to be super nice and very helpful.

You might try erasing your cookies in case BW practices raising prices on people who have been shopping thier page.

But it's possible like the PP said, things may be changing on there end. Perhaps another room got booked and now the demand is higher for the remaining rooms. Kind of like how a plane with 200 seats only has a couple seats available for people booking with miles.

That is Presidents day weekend..usually very crowded there..Bw knows it can get whatever price it wants..they want the Fri, Sat,Sun Monday reservations..

I tried the cookies and it didn't work, but it was a good idea. I think what you said about a room being booked may be the issue.

President's Day weekend is 2/18-2/20.

Pick any holiday and you will see the points/price jump all over the place. When staying off site I trend the prices of where I want to stay to get an idea of what may be happening.

Best of luck,

Jack

It looks like they raised the points for Dec-Feb. Not just for holiday weekends.
But the monetary price didn't go up for my dates. :confused3

Hike from Stovall's?? We stayed there for the 1st time over Thanksgiving weekend. I didn't mind the walk at all, 10 minutes tops - we cut through the Grand CA. The walk was lovely - much better than walking along Harbor IMO.

We've never had to walk along Harbor. We've always stayed at BWPPI and the only walk is the crosswalk. My best friend stayed at both hotels and said that Stovall's was a little far for her family. They have a child the same age as mine. Anyhow, I wasn't downgrading Stovall's. I'm sure it has a lot going for it. :)
