Best Western Florida Mall Hotel

Hi all I'm Krystal and yes I am a lurker, now that it's off my chest down to business. Me and my friend are going to orlando on the March 11th for spring break. This is our first trip without our parents, so we were excited, until I found this board two days ago and saw some bad reviews about our hotel Best Western Florida Mall , but the reviews aren't recent so I am hoping the hotel is better now because it was renovated in 2002, I've never been in less then a 4 star hotel so I'm really nervous. My questions are:

Has anyone been to the Best Western Florida Mall within a year, should my friend and I avoid it?

Is Wet N Wild worth going to?

Can two 20 year olds, get invited to timeshare presentations (we want free tickets anywhere) or are we too young?

What transportation is available around the florida mall area ?, we thought all we would need is the hotel shuttle to the parks, but we then realized it might not be that convienient.

... any parks, though it's miles closer to Universal than to WDW. Without transportation of your own, you are on entirely the wrong side of town for parks. (Florida Mall is outside the tourism corridor.) If the BW has a park shuttle of their own, it is probably going to take you nearly an hour each way to reach WDW on it, maybe longer if they share the bus w/ other hotels.

If I were you, I'd write it off as a loss and see if you can get something on Priceline in Lake Buena Vista, or at least on the I-Drive strip relatively close to Universal. There should still be some 2* bargains available, or even 3 if you get lucky.
