Has anyone stayed here? Any feedback would be appreciated. DD13 and I are planning on doing the 3-day Wonder next month before we got to WDW and I'm trying to decide whether to stay near the airport or stay in Cape Canaveral. Our flight would be late arriving (11:15 pm) so I'm not real comfortable driving to Cape Canaveral late at night with just the two of us and I have a $50 Best Western travel card so I was thinking of staying at the BW that's about 1-1/2 miles from the airport.

We stayed there for one night last May because we had a travel card, too. It's still relatively new (built in '99) and was very clean. Don't let the 1.5 miles fool you, though. It feels like 5 or 6 and will take you 15-20 minutes to get there, depending on the traffic (I see you're getting in late, so traffic may not be an issue). Also, their address (Aircenter Ct.) is not on some maps, even new ones. The road's only about 50 yards long! If they'd just say, "1800 McCoy Road" it would simplify things. Overall, it was a good experience and we'd stay there again.

So they must mean 1-1/2 AIR miles rather than road miles, interesting way to make yourself appear closer to the airport than you actually are!! :teeth:

Knowing that it takes 15-20 minutes to get to the BW I'm almost tempted to drive to Cape Canaveral instead since it would only be another 30 minutes or so of driving in comparison to the drive to the BW. But I'm still uneasy about driving on the highway at midnight with my DD13 should there be car troubles or something else unexpected so I'll likely stick with something near the airport. If only I could get a great rate at the Hyatt!! I thought about calling them to see if I could get a "day" room since technically I won't be checking in until after midnight and checking out the same day.

Your plane is <supposed> to arrive at 11:15. Weather/mechanical delay and you might arrive at 1 AM. No fun driving. It is so nice to know there is a place across the street from the airport waiting at that hour, and a nice drive in daylight the next morning. There are a lot of nice places north of MCO, and you have a good rate. I'd go for the BW.

Thanks FlaNative, I think I'm going to stick with my plan to stay at the BW (or even better, the Hyatt if I can get a day rate).
