Best WDW Golf Course and why?

If only able to play one round of golf at WDW, which one of the 4 courses would you pick - and why? Thanks in advance for all opinions!

I like Palm or Magnolia. Nothing better than playing golf/enjoying the outdoors and hearing the whistle of the MK train and ferryboat in the distance. Palm is tougher. I think Magnolia may still have some modifications going on with the back few holes due to the Floridian Way roadwork and recent reconfiguration of that part of the course (check me on that as I'm not 100% sure on the latest condition). I had been avoiding Magnolia while all that's been going on as they had a more substantial temporary setup for a bit, but I think it's better now.

My DH likes Magnolia the best (it has the Mickey sand trap) (but he likes all of the courses) He really loves the free ride to/from the courses if you stay on site.

While the Magnolia Mickey Bunker is the original, as of a few years ago all 4 courses now have a Mickey Bunker. Palm, Magnolia & Oak Trail are all located in the same complex near the Magic Kingdom and Lake Buena Vista goes through Saratoga & Old Key West.

Oak Trail is 9 holes & walking only. In addition, they also have it setup to accommodate Foot Golf. Palm and Magnolia were once used on the PGA Tour and as GADisneyDad14 mentioned Palm provide you the most challenging course. Not that the other 2 18-hole courses aren't challenging in their own right. I personally like the layout of Lake Buena Vista.

All the courses are maintained the same. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the 3 main courses. My preference right now is:

1. Lake Buena Vista
2. Palm
3. Magnolia
4. Oak Trail (A distant 4th.)

I will also say that the Pro Shop for Palm & Magnolia has a wider selection of souvenirs/golf items.

My son just golfed at Magnolia and Oak Trail last week. He obviously liked Magnolia better but had some extra time one evening and was able to get a tee time for Oak Trail. He said Oak Trail was nice if that’s all you have time for. The pro shop is awesome! They were so nice there. They gave my grandkids some balls with Mickey on them.

Palm is my favorite, I find the layout the most interesting of the Disney courses, and I find it the most challenging. As someone mentioned, conditions are pretty even, so that does not sway things much. If I had to rank them, I would go:
1. Palm
2. Lake Beuna Vista
3. Magnolia
4. Oak Trail

The Tranquilo Golf Course at the Four Seasons is much better than the other courses, by a lot. Magnolia was the better of the WDW courses, but the recent renovations due to the roadway realingnment really killed the back 9 finish. Palm is fine, LBV is shorter and easier, and Oak Trail is for the most part a pitch and putt with a couple of par 5's thrown in.

Now with Grumpy's Gauntlet at Magnolia, it puts them slightly ahead of of Palm.

My on property order would be
Magnolia
Palm
Lake Buena Vista

So from the limited responses so far it appears that you really cant go wrong, which is a nice problem!!

Sadly, my DH is still disappointed that Eagle Pines and Osprey Ridge are no more, because Osprey Ridge was his favorite. Of the ones left, his favorite is probably Lake Buena Vista only because we stay at OKW, and he likes being able to stop and get his picture taken!

The choice of which golf course to play relates more to your skill level and whether or not you want to walk. If you expect to ride in a golf cart, then clearly the course where you can only walk wouldn't be one to choose. A novice golfer attempting to play a championship course will find it a frustrating experience for not only themselves, but for the group behind them.
