Hi everyone,

I'll be taking a long bus trip in a few weeks, so I was hoping to take a few WDW books (or guidebooks) to help pass the time. Do you know of any that are entertaining and won't take up too much room in my bag? Thanks!

I just picked up the Birnbaum's Disney book... it's a LOT smaller than the unofficial guide (although that one is good too :)). Anyway, loving Birnbaum's, informative, entertaining, fairly thin and very readable. I'll be giving THIS one to my non-Disney hubby to read when I'm done.

I think the Unofficial Guide is definately one of the best. Passporter's is really fun when it comes to planning your trip.

My wife and I use three book.

1) The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World. Super-full of information. We use this one on planning parks, rides, shows, resorts, tours, etc.

2) Walt Disney World Dining Guide. Since it is just the two of us, dining is very important for us. Vacations to us are eating at places and eating things that we don't usually have at home.

3) Passporters Walt Disney World guide. This is mostly a tool we use for organization. I think this book is like an adult Mad-Libs book since it allows one to fill out personilized stuff for themselves. This is by far my favorite book.:worship:

The birnbaum's one is pretty good. It has some good pictures, and it is appropriate for my 8 year old to read if he wants. I also have bought the Unofficial guide, Which is very detailed and honest. Both are great resources.

I bought three books when I decided to plan our family trip.

You will only need one though........PASSPORTER. It is wonderful. It decribes every single ride/attraction. It has everything.

Good luck.

If you're looking for reading material about Disney that's not specific to planning a trip, I recommend Imagineers Guide to MK and Imagineers Guide to EPCOT. They are both small and compact and have great info about the parks you might not already know. Check them out at Amazon.com to see if it's your cuppa tea.

:)

Another vote for Passporter! What I like is the guide is written by people that have been there, I can relate to and represents three distinct points of view! The reviews are honest and simple and the book makes a nice diary and keep sake.:thumbsup2
