I would suggest you continue to read the Disboards, sign up for emails from disney.com, sign up to get the monthly email from mousesavers.com, I also get the email from allearsnet.com.
I opened an ING Direct savings account to put my Disney money in. I transfer money from my checking into ING. It takes a few days to get there, then isn't available for a week to pull back out. Then it takes around 3 days to get the money put back into your checking account. I do NOT have a card for this account. This makes it so I don't just dip into my Disney fund for whatever. I also earn interest on this account.
I also do some rewards programs for extra money. Simplegpt.com pays well and pays cash into your paypal. mypoints.com is great for gift cards. There are tons of programs out there. If you look lower on the forums, towards the bottom you will see a forum about rewards programs. You should check that out.
