the way i used to do it before the exchange rate got so bad was to divide the amount in euros by 3 then times by2 to give you the amount in pounds e.g 15 euros would be £10 but that doesn't work quite so accurately now. when you get your money changed you should hopefully have a currency converter given to you with your money (marks and spencer do anyway)![]()
I got Euros earlier today and when I got them it was for every pound you got one euro and 20 cents, so they are nearly equal now.

If you have a small calculator or a calculator on your phone, take it with you. Just divide the total by the exchange rate. i.e. 30 euros divided by 1.20= £25

I just work on the principle that it's not as expensive as it seems ~ for example it's ten euros not ten pounds![]()
