I will be flying in early and transferring to YC after one night at ASSP by myself, so I am wondering what would be the best way to do it without killing myself with stress/effort. I was wondering if any of you DISers had any experience with this, what would be the best way to do this?
Thanks in advance.

You've got a few options. You could just leave your luggage at ASSp (they will transfer it for you) and take a bus to a park and transfer to a YC bus. The only down side to this option is that you won't have access to your luggage most of that whole day. Another idea is just to take a cab from ASSp to YC and they can store your luggage at bell services until your new room is ready. Once its ready you just call down and they'll bring your bags right up for you. Another idea is if you don't really have a lot of luggage (I'm not sure how many bags you'll have with you) you could just take your luggage on the bus to a park and transfer to a YC bus. If you've just got one big rolling suitcase then this option wouldn't be a bad idea.

Or, you could take a bus to MGM and then take a boat to YC. MGM is walking distance to YC if you don't mind walking about a mile. It may be a little shorter.

The best and easiest would be a taxi. It should cost less than $20 with tip. The second easiest would be to allow the luggage fairies to transfer your luggage (ask bell services at All Stars how they currently do it) and you just take the bus to MGM. As others have said, you can either walk or take the boat. I would not take my luggage on a Disney bus to a park in the morning. The buses are way too crowded.

1. I don't know if they will transfer your luggage. We went 5 years ago and I was 8 months preg. Tried to transfer from ASSP to POR and they did a big NO when it came to transfering the luggage. I was told we had to do it ourselves.

2. YC is a short walk through Epcot via Paris!! Take a bus to Epcot, you'll need to show your ticket, but walk all the way to Paris and go straight. Pass BC and there's YC. This way you don't have to pass too many buses if you don't want.

3. OR you can take a bus to MK, jump on the monorail to Epcot and then walk to YC.

I've transferred luggage between Disney resorts about 5 times the last 4 years with no problem. I always try to get the luggage to bell services by 10:00 and it is always at the next resort by 5:00. Once I hand off the luggage to be transferred, I go on to the parks and go to the new resort later in the day.

At the Value resorts I have not even had to bring it to bell services. I have always just left it in the room under the windows. They may have changed the policy though and you may now have to bring it to bell services. That's why I suggested that the OP check what she needs to do as there may be no need for her to drag her luggage up to the front.

TinaLala22: Bummer on them not transferring your luggage :(. FWIW, I think it's a shorter walk from MGM than through Epcot.

When we stayed at ASMu last year we switched rooms and they transferred our luggage for us. It was fantastic, and in the room by the time we took our break in the early afternoon (if I remember correctly we got back to the room about 2pm and it was already there)

This past January I was able to have them transfer my luggage to the cruise from POP, but I wasn't sure if they did hotel to hotel, because they kept telling me no at first, that they did not do hotel luggage transfers. I will definitely use the option of bell services transferring the luggage. When we did the cruise, they actually came with a cart and picked it all up for us in the room, so hopefully next week will be the same.So I will definitely go with that option, and will be sure to have lots of $$ on hand for tips:goodvibes . Thank you to all the posters who have experienced this and have been such wonderful help.
