Best way to take advantage of photopass?

So, if you have pre-ordered the photopass, what's the best way to get the most out of it?

The best thing to do is everytime you see a photographer stop and have them take your picture.
The more you do this the better. Also ask them if they can have you pose in "fun" ways. They can have you do different things and then they add stuff, like balloons, Simba...etc. That makes the pictures cute.

Have a good trip!!

I also read that we should ask them to take a few pictures of every pose.. is that true as well?

After you get home - make sure to take the time and add borders that you want to EVERY single picture and in the sizes you might want to make reprints. My Photopass CD took 4 CD's to get them all on over 5 days to Disney.

Ask each photographer which magic shots he/she can do.

They will take at least 1 regular picture in addition to the magic shots.

If they can only do a magic shot which you already did, do it again. This year one photographer got cuter Tinkerbell shots than another.

(A magic shot is when the photographer has you pose as though something, usually a Disney character, is in the picture. They add the character or item later.)

absolutely stop at every photographer u see (last time had a photographer that swore we were stalking her around epcot) even if you've had pictures at that spot before... you will get alot of varity

I believe you can also upload your own pictures also and add the borders.

Either way the best advice is for sure to do pics ever time you are able to.

It drives my family nuts but who are ones who like the borders? :)

Have fun with it!

take as many pictures as possible.

do the magic shots...those are my kids favorites!

add any photos from character dining that you purchase or are included in your meal.

add any ride photos that are included (test track) or that you purchase

add multiple borders to every photo you take. You dont have to order copies of them but its nice to know they are there if you want them because you wont be able to change those borders later.

look here http://www.stitchkingdom.com/disneysphotopass/ to see the magic shots...

I agree with those who said take advantage of every opportunity. Get pictures at different times of the day. Some of our best ones were at night! Also, when you go to edit your photos you can crop and zoom a lot. And you can save the pictures with borders, without borders, and at different sizes. I had a lot of mine made into larger shots, and the ones that I did that with I saved as those sizes. They turned out great. You can also edit them into black and white but add the special stuff in color - those are some of the best ones!

Our first day of our last trip we stopped outside MK to get some pictures taken. I was taking a picture of the back of our card, and writing our last name on it and the PP person commented "old pro huh" I told her it was our 2nd time using it and that we prepaid the disk this time. She told me to make sure I mentioned that to the photographers so they know to take lots of shots and poses. So that's what we did. It came in hand for us because my son with autism needs a few extra seconds and you have to call his name to get him to look at the photographer. I would tell them about prepaying photopass, and what my son's name was and he had autism and to just say "look at my camera." We may have had 10 shots of my son looking every which way in the same pose but we got 1 or 2 with him looking at the camera. Since they knew to keep snapping away we got great shots.

We are a family of 18 visiting WDW in two weeks. We plan to split the photopass CD cost and have all the pics put on the same account. Anyone have any pros or cons to doing this?

We split the cost with another family. Just know that you only get one CD so you make sure you download all of the photos. We save our photos on an online site so they're stored in two place (just to be safe).

And I agree with all PP's - these photos are our favorites!!

We did this on our last trip, and it went well. Just make sure you get everyone's photopass cards so you can enter the card numbers and retrieve all of the pictures.

One suggestion I have in general - do not have them "link" (or combine, or whatever they call this) the cards to one. They did that for my family last time, and they totally missed the 2nd card. I was able to send an email and they found the pictures. This is not something that will be easy if there are multiple families and they miss a card or more.

Also, make sure everyone knows that they need to go online and add borders, etc, to their pictures by a certain date so that the CD(s) can be ordered on time. I would put one person in charge of notifying everyone and ordering the CD.

Good luck & have fun!

FYI you can order additional CD's. I think they are around $20 each.

Also, we were told by a CM that you should tell the photographer that you're purchasing the CD. Apparently if they know that you're buying the CD, they will take more pictures.

Have fun!

Great tips! I just preordered the CD for the 1st time a few days ago. Thanks for sharing!

How many cards do you get for your family? If you pre-buy do you get the cd of all pictures for the $99?

Yes, if you prebuy the CD, you will come home, enter your card (s) on your account, add borders and order. You will pay shipping at this point.

You can get as many cards as you want/need. So if you family is split up during the day, just get a new card no biggie! Or if you leave it in the hotel, get a new one.

Ditto on the shots during all light conditions.

Do some individual and some group shots.

Stop for every photo opportunity.

I did a photopass sharing arrangement and it worked out well.
