I’m going to Rosa Mexicano tonight…

Should I just take the bus to EPCOT and walk ? If the hotels are within short walking distance …I was thinking boat to DS, bus to hotel, but that seems silly - too much work

Thanks!

The Epcot bus is going to drop you off at the front of the park. You would have to tap in and walk all the way to the back and out the IG to get to the Crescent Lake resorts on foot. Just take a rideshare. But if you are insistent on Disney transportation taking the bus to HS and then walking from there would be more direct and take less time.

I would take the bus the DHS and then take the boat from there to the Dolphin (or use the walkway). If you bus to EPCOT, you would have to walk through the park.

I missed this from before…it has nothing to do with being insistent (?)…I just don’t intend to take LYFT every night.

Thanks for the tip on DHS - I’m on the bus now

I get that, but rideshares (or taxis) are always going to be the fastest way to go resort to resort if you’re not going between locations directly connected via walking path or non-bus transportation. People really underestimate the amount of time transportation can take when you’re traveling at non-peak times and it can be a gamble if you have to be somewhere in a timely fashion. It’s why they tell you to allow at least 90 minutes to get to an ADR with it. Buses don’t run as frequently outside of park opening/close and boats/Skyliner can have weather stoppages. I’ve run into a lot of situations like that. So I just don’t like taking the chance if I have somewhere to be. A couple of bucks is worth the peace of mind.

wow, 90 minutes? !
Truthfully, I did get off to a late start for a 7:30 reservation; if I’d left by 7pm, I think I would have made it on time (I did call Rosa to let them know I’d be a bit late) since the bus to HS was efficient and I made the quick boat ride to the Dolphin.

I have no issue using Lyft in order to avoid real delays. I was thinking of getting a Minnie Van to the Contemporary for dinner tomorrow, but my nephew told me that MK is very close to FQ, and that I shouldn’t bother. I’m definitely going to hire one at some point....

Thank you!

You’re right, the bus ride from POFQ to DHS is not very long, nor is the boat ride from DHS to Swan/Dolphin. It’s just that sometimes, if you just missed the bus and/or just missed the boat, you could add 20+ minutes waiting for the next, or a total of 40+ minutes for the trip if you just missed both of them. (Of course, the walk from DHS bus stop to Swan/Dolphin is quicker than waiting for the next boat.)

But that’s why the recommendation is to allow 90 minutes for the trip. You did great and made your dining reservation on time, but I don’t want others reading this thread to think that it always works out so well.

You’re right, it could have worked out differently. I think I’m going to take a Minnie van or regular Lyft to and from Contemporary tonight.
