Just trying to get some advice on the best way to sell Disney pins.. My daughter has a collection that she is wanting to sell... Im trying to figure out the best way to sell them.. I already did bring them to coworkers and friends, who did purchase some but now Im looking at the remainder and wondered if Craigslist, Ebay is the better way to go.

Also bulk or listing individually?

I havent used Ebay in several years and am curious if its still a good option..

TIA for any info..

The problem with eBay is that scrapper sellers are so prevalent. It can be harder to sell them due to that. That is the way I would go though. If you decide to do that please PM me your eBay ID, we can't do for sale posts on the Dis but I'd be interested in seeing what you have. You may be able to help us complete some sets. :)

I too was trying to figure out what the best way to sell some of my pins were. There are some I just can't seem to find a picture or pricing of anywhere online:( I don't know if that means they're worth something or worth nothing...lol.
So, for now, I think maybe ebay will be the way to go. I just don't want to get ripped off...lol.

Did you ask this question on the collectors portion of the DISboards? I think they'll have good advice for you there.

:upsidedowI'd be interested, as well - even just the ones that you can't get rid of...we are just going to use them for trading.

None of us on the Collector's Board are professionals, we can't provide values. We are just collectors ourselves for the most part. :)

Please let us know what you decide to do and if it was a successful. I am ready to sell my collection too. We used to be really into the pins and even did the pin weekends. I have thousands that we are ready to sell but just don't know where to do it. I wish you luck!

Tomart's Disneyana Guide to Pin Trading is a guide that provides the values for Disney Pins.

I'm in the same boat. Collected a couple thousand when it started in the late 90's. Just don't have the time to keep up so was going to get rid of them as well. Lot's of stitch, figment and attractions/holidays in mine. Gotta hit the bay I guess......

ya, I have this book, it isn't that great for values. Unless they've updated it recently.

If you do please share your eBay ID via PM. :)

If you're going to use Ebay, spend some time reading the rules and go to the Seller's Central Discussion Board. Ebay has changed ALOT in the past few years and it's no picnic for new sellers. The fraud is rampant and buyers hold all the cards. So do your research before you list a single pin! It's the only way you won't be ripped off.
