I need advice on how to sell our stroller, we have upgraded. It would sell for probably $100 on ebay, but I'm not sure how I would mail it and how much it would cost?! My other option would be to take it to my daughter's house in orlando and let her sell it on craigslist but I'm afraid of having strangers coming to her door. I don't think anyone locally where I live would be willing to pay anywhere near that much for it. Its a baby planet umbrella type stroller that holds up to 50 lbs.

What would you do?

Craigslist is the best way. Resale stores won't give you very much for it, as they are out to make a profit reselling it.

I weed people out. I can usually tell by the tone in their e-mail if they are people I would meet in person or not. Then I speak to them on the phone. If they sound okay (sane, lol) then I normally have them come to my house.

If you are not comfortable with that, you can arrange to meet at a grocery store parking lot (for example).

Keep in mind that people willing to spend $100 on a used stroller are normally legit, normal people ;) I only worry when I'm giving stuff away free. That will attract the "weirdos" more often

Coincidentally I have a high end umbrella stroller (retail $350) listed for $100 on CL right now. Have not had even one person interested :headache:

Sold mine 2 yrs ago....Craigslist, gently used....stil had box & instructions.
Sold for $75 and met in grocery store parking lot....cash only.

For something like a stroller you can usually tell over phone if they know what they are talking about and good, fair people.

Good luck.

I have a feeling thats going to be the story for me also. I hate that shipping is so expensive, can't compete with businesses that can ship cheaper!

I may try listing them sometime when I'm down visiting my daughter in Orlando.
