I'm not staying at a monorail resort, but I really want to see the Electrical Water Pageant during my next trip to WDW (12/16 - 12/23/06). What are the best ways to do this? It's a little late for dinner (my family tends to eat around 6PM), so I was thinking maybe we should make dessert ADRs for one of the resort hotels from which we can see it. Suggestions please?

I'm not sure if there are any restaurants that you can see the water pageant from. We've watched it from the beach at the Wilderness Lodge the last time we stayed there. Another idea is to have desserts at Kona Cafe at the Polynesian. You could have desserts there and then when finished head outside to watch the pageant down by the beach.

You could get on the monorail line, watch the show after MK, and then eat dessert at a resort restaurant.

my favorite place to watch is from the beach at the poly. the water pageant is fun, but short. i would go and watch and then get desert after. If you go before and don't time it right, you'll miss the show.

I second that, we went and stood on the monorail platform at MK, no lines, no obstructed view.

That's a good point about the timing. Unfortunately DS10 doesn't do well if I keep him out too late though, so we probably wouldn't do dessert after. Can we just go sit on the beach at the Poly without dining there? Or if not, how would we need to time dessert to be safe and be sure we see the pageant?

Thanks everybody for such excellent advice. :goodvibes

Yes you can use Poly's beach without dining there. :goodvibes We've watched Wishes and the water pageant from Poly beach several times. Sometimes we ate there, sometimes we didn't. Also, while waiting for the fireworks or pageant to start, my DD6 really enjoys playing in the sand. And she usually finds a couple kids to play with. Dress warm-it can get very cold (especially near the water) in Dec. Brings back memories of Dec. 2002-we wore our thermals alot that trip! :thumbsup2

Added-That's my DD playing on Poly Beach in Jan. 2005 in my signature. Did I mention she loves playing on the resort beaches? :Pinkbounc
