we went in may and are going back and we never saw MICKEY! Is it best to go with a character dining, but which one is he at? Is he ever in a spot to "meet and greet"?
We have only been to Disney one other time but we made ressies for characer dining at Chef Mickey so we didnt have to stand in line to see him in MK. He made it around to all of the tables, posed for pics and signed our autograph books. Later in the week we saw him at the entrance of AK when it opened but I am not sure if that is a every day thing or if we just lucked out.
Judges tent. He's at a few character meals. Chef Mickey at the Contemperary, Liberty tree Tavern, at MK, Cape May at Beach Club, Donald's safari at tusker House in AK. There may be more I'm missing. we loved the character dining!!
LOVE character dining--no waiting in lines for pics and autographs!! It saved us time waiting in lines and gave us wonderful experiences with the characters.
of course, the judges tent. But also, we have met him in Epcot when they did the double decker bus....do they still do that? Also, in MGM at the sorcerers hat and on that street with all the characters...can't remember the name. And at Ak at Camp Mickey and minnie. And Chef Mickeys
The spot in MGM is great! We had 1 person in line in front of us to meet him. It's indoors, but I can't remember the name of the location. Check the times guide and it will be listed.
If you go to the greeting trails in AK, go during a Festival of the Lion King show, not right after one lets out. There were just a couple people in line to greet Mickey there.
Magic of Disney Animation at Hollywood Studios. Sorcerer Mickey (as well as the Incredibles or Frozone when we were there) is in a waiting/activity area between the movie and the animation lesson station.
The line is somewhat long each time the movie gets out. You can enter through the gift shop, if you want though, and just go in to see the mouse. If the movie has not let out, it's a short/non existant line.
We totally lucked out when we stumbled upon the rope drop at ToonTown (yes, they have their own rope drop - usually at 10:00 I think? Check the daily schedule.) If you're there for the rope drop, you can walk right into the Judges Tent and you won't have to wait long to see Mickey. We like seeing him at Camp Minnie and Mickey in AK - but the lines there are usually so long and so hot!
Mickey Mouse is one the characters at The Garden Grill. The food is great, the restaurant spins slowly, and you get to meet the mouse that started it all.
