Best way to request room bedding config at GCH?

We have a standard view room booked and want to request the two queen/1 daybed room type. What is the most effective way to request this at the Grand Californian? If we should call, what number will get us to the front desk (rather than the reservation office)? Or is a fax a reliable way to request this?

Your best chance at getting the 2 queen and 1 daybed room is to put 5 people on your reservation!

I always send a fax and yes they always get it. (714) 300-7300. Just an FYI..those rooms are only located with standard views...front of hotel parking lot or courtyard view. I asked for an upgraded view and was told if I changed the view I would lose the bed configuration of 2 queens and a daybed.

Thanks for the info as well, I just sent a fax to the GCH front desk to request a room with a king bed.
