Best way to get to WL from POR

We will be at POR next month, and have a Saturday evening ADR at Wispering Canyon Cafe at WL. The CM suggested we take the boat to DTD, then get the bus to WL. That sounds fine with us, but we are concerned about how long that may take. How much time should we allow? Would it be better to drive over?

They always say allow an hour for transportation from one resort to another on Disney transport.

You could also go to MK and take the boat to WL.

For whatever reason, the buses at DTD seem to take forever to come. If I were you, I would take the MK bus and then the boat to WL from the MK. As always, leave a total of about an hour....it does seem like a lot of wasted time, but if you think of it as 'part of the adventure' it doesn't seem as bad.

We are staying at POP in July. Last time we stayed at POP we went to MK
and took the boat to WL. Had a great time at Wispering Canyon Cafe and
returning in July.

I enjoy the boat ride from MK to WL. It's just like another ride or attraction for me. I like to sit outside.
