Best way to get to the CR from BWV

We have CM reservations for breakfast (9:30) at the CR. What's the best way to get there? We'll have a car, but would rather stick to the Disney transportation system.

Bus to MK and take the resort Monorail? or is there another option?

I will be interested in the responses you get, we are staying at BWV and have breakfast planned at the Poly and I decided we would use our car this day, which we normally do not do during a Disney vacation, but I have read it can be time consuming taking the bus from BWV to MK. Just my two cents. I hope some one with a lot more experience will respond to your question.

Have a nice trip.

Two different answers for our two posters.

To get to the Contemporary, I think your idea is a good one. However, if you're going before the opening hours of the MK, the MK busses are specially intended for character meals, and you may be able to be dropped directly at the Contemporary if you let the driver know that's your destination.

If not, the walk from the MK bus depot to the CR is a short one, if the weather is nice and your kids aren't too small.

For the second guest, since you want to use your own car, the simple thing to do is to drive to the MK lot, take the parking lot tram to the TTC, and just walk to the Poly, which is right next door. (Depending on the time of your reservation, you might also be able to take the resort monorail, but walking might still be faster.)

Hope these are helpful.

Perhaps Tyler will weigh in on this one too. I expect there will be Character Breakfast special buses that will certainly get you to MK, then a short walk or resort Monorail to the CR. I am sure you will make it without a problem. Just be sure to tell the CM at the BWV bus stop your PS time and destination, and she/he can call it into dispatch, of you don't have a MK bus leaving in the imminent future.

BTW, do I detect redheaded progeny in your pix? If so, congratulations on bearing redheaded children. In our family, we have 2 (ages 6 and 4, one of each), in addition to Daddy (your's truly). Redheads are a bit easier to pick out in a crowd, aren't they?;)

MK opens at 9am the day we go. I wonder if it would be possible to catch a character breakfast bus since we have 9:30 ps. Anyone know what time they stop the service for that? We'd probably need to be at the stop at a minimum, 8:45.

Pumpkinboy, you are definately right about the redhead thing. Poor guy, he didn't have much of a chance between me and my DH. We're both redheads, but as you can see in the pic, the red loses it's brightness with age and indoor jobs. :D If he had come out with any other color, there might have been questions!

As of two weeks ago, character breakfast busses began running at 7. First seatings inside MK were at 8:05, with the park opening at 9. Boarding a 7:30 bus, the driver asked if anyone needed Chef Mickeys.

Getting to a PS at 9:30 should be absolutely no problem, but by that time the busses may no longer be able to drop you off at the CR. I'd be at the bus stop at 8:30, so that even if you just miss the bus, you'll catch one no later than 8:50, which should drop you off at MK at just a bit after 9. Plenty of time to walk or take the monorail. (From the bus depot, the monorail station isn't much closer than the CR itself, though.)
