Best way to get to Legoland pick-up?

Our kids would LOVE to go to Legoland but we are flying and will be using DME to get to Pop. I see Legoland has a shuttle that is fairly reasonable (I think $5/person) but my question is what do you recommend to get TO/FROM the pick-up location? We're a family of 5 w/ 3 kids (2, 6, 8) so a taxi is not an option. I know we could take a shuttle, but I'm thinking that may be pricey. Any cheaper alternatives I'm not thinking of?'

Pick-up location is I-Drive 360, 8401 International Drive, Orlando Florida 32819 and arrival at 8:30 if that's helpful.

Why is a taxi not an option? Checking two different taxi sites, I get estimates of $33.52 and $38.71.

Another option would be to rent a car for the day and just drive to LEGOLAND. Whether that makes sense financially will depend on the rental rate for the day you want to go. Even if it costs a bit more, it might be worth it to avoid a round trip to International Drive.

Aside from the Car Care Center, Alamo also has locations at the Dolphin and the Buena Vista Palace, which is right across the street from the bus stop for Disney Springs. They also have after hours drop off. That can be helpful so you don't have to be back to Disney World by 5pm (or whatever time the offices close).

A taxi can handle your family no problem. My concern would be being locked into leaving when the shuttle bus leaves. If you kids get tuckered out or get ill, you are stuck for the day and trapped. Renting a car for the day may be cheaper than paying for taxi+bus+taxi as well.

You could also use your car to pick up a few snacks at a grocery store on the way back or stop at a non-Disney restaurant for dinner and save a few more bucks.
