Best way to get to HDDR from ASMu??

We have a 5:00 reservation for HDDR...I'm debating if we should take the bus to MK, then boat to FW....or if that will take too long? Should I just fork over the $$ for a cab? What time do you think I should leave ASMu to get there? Thanks !!!

This is one situation where a Cab won't help you much because a Cab cannot go directly to Pioneer Hall(home of the HDDR) at the Settlement Depot at Fort Wilderness.

The Cab would have to let you out at the "entrance" to FW and then you would have to take an "internal bus" from there to the Settlement Depot.

Another option would be to take a Cab to Wilderness Lodge and then take a Bus or Boat from there to the Settlement Depot.

Personally,I would just go with Disney Transportation on this one.

Wait for Bus at Music----0-20 minutes
Travel time to Magic Kingdom----15 minutes
Wait for Boat at Magic Kingdom----0-15 minutes
Travel time to Fort Wilderness(Settlement Depot)----10 minutes

Total travel Time----25-60 minutes.

What we did last week from AKL was take the bus to MK and then catch the boat to Fort Wilderness. It didn't take long at all and the kids really enjoyed taking the boat. When you get off the boat it's just a short walk to HDDR. Coming back we took the boat back to MK and enjoyed the park. Have a great time.

Yes the bus, boat or monorail to MK and then boat to FW works for all resorts except WL and the CR because they have their own boats to FW.
