Best way to get to HDDR and back again

We will be going to the 9:30 HDDR and are confused about the best way to get there. We will have a car but I have read on here that Fort Wilderness is hard to find/navigate on your own. We are staying at POP and will be at Epcot that day. Whats the easiest way to get there and back again? Oh and its an Extra Magic Hours night for Epcot that night if it helps...

Bus from Epcot to Fort Wilderness. To the best of my knowledge, this bus goes through FW and stops at several locations, including wherever HDDR is. Going back to your resort, there will be buses nearby and CMs directing Guests to them. Each bus will go to several resorts, but it's very efficient.

If you choose to drive, don't worry about navigating Fort Wilderness. You won't be allowed You'll have to park at the entrance and take a resort bus.

We drive and haven't found it confusing at all. Follow the signs to get to the Fort Wilderness area, then look for the sign for Pioneer Hall (not the same as the main Fort Wilderness guest entrance, which looks more like a typical resort entrance with a little gatehouse. Turn in at the sign and go to the large parking lot and park there. You'll know you are in the right place if you are near the ranch. There's a bus stop there where you can catch the internal system bus to Pioneer Hall - if you aren't sure which to take, ask any bus driver who pulls up. They're very helpful. After the show there will be buses to take you back to the parking lot.

Of course, we've never gone to the 9:30 show. I've read things that seem to indicate after the late show there are buses outside Pioneer Hall to other resorts, but I could be misinterpreting what I've read before.

If you are at Epcot, you can take the bus to Fort Wilderness, then get on the YELLOW Settlement bus. That is the fastest to Pioneer Hall. Then after the show, there will be buses that will provide transportation at the Settlement bus stop back to all the resorts.

If you drive, do as the previous poster stated. Park at the lot for Hoop De Doo, then go to the bus stop. Once again, the YELLOW Settlement bus will be the fastest. To return to the parking lot, take the YELLOW Outpost bus.

There are two other internal buses that will get you through the campground (ORANGE and PURPLE), but they go a longer route.

From Epcot take the WL/FW bus and get off at WL. At WL switch to the FW internal bus which will make it's first stop at the Settlement which is where HDDR is held.

After the show there will be buses to take you to POP, but you may be sharing a bus with another resort such as CBR.
