Best way to get to DL from PPH

It's our first time staying there. I know you can go thru GCH to get to DCA, but wasn't sure about the best way to get to DL. TIA!

You can either walk through Downtown Disney all the way to the front gates (passing through a security area first). Or you can walk to the Downtown Disney Monorail Station. There's a security checkpoint there and they will scan your park tickets. The Monorail will drop you off in Tomorrowland, right next to the Finding Nemo Subs.

Cross the street at the crosswalk and go through the front doors of the Grand and follow the signs to Downtown Disney. Once in DTD turn to your right and head towards DL!

I would agree with this route. A few times (coming back from the parks when we felt like going to Earl of Sammich) we did go down towards DLH through the entire length of DTD but I always felt it was a longer walk. Even if you were going to take the Monorail when you factor in the potential wait time we never thought of it as a "faster" way to get to the parks from PPH.

Its not a terribly long walk but if time is a premium then the GCH route is IMO the better bet.

The one time I stayed at PPH we found the route going through the GCH to be by far the best. It takes you to the middle of DTD and then you turn right and walk the rest of the way to the parks.

It's really easy! When you get there and see in person how close the PPH is to the GCH, you will realize how easy it is to get to the parks (and quicker than expected). If you go out the front of the PPH, veer to the left and head to the crosswalk, you will cross the street and end up directly in front of the path to walk up to the GCH. Walk right into the lobby of the GCH. From there you will see signs directing you to DTD, to DCA, to the restaurants at the GCH, etc. Just follow the signs in the GCH to wherever you want to go. I usually head to Downtown Disney, turn right (which will be at the Anna & Elsa Boutique, if I recall correctly) and then walk straight to the Esplanade. Disneyland will be on your left from that point, and DCA on your right.

To get back to the PPH just walk through DTD to the GCH again, out the front entrance of the GCH, down the path and across the street to the PPH.

First thing in the morning the Monorail isn't the fastest way into Disneyland.
It is however, a nice way to exit the park and save a little walking when your getting tired.
