Best Way to Get to CP Pre-opening Rez from WL?

I received a call earlier this week from Disney regarding my 8am pre-opening reservation at the Crystal Palace. She told me the monorail will be down for service on the morning of May 5th. I told her I was staying at Wilderness Lodge and she said the boats start running at 6:45. I was double checking that and the boat to the MK starts running a half hour before parking opening. The boat for the CR and FW starts at 6:45. I do not want to walk from the CR to the MK. Would the bus be better?

Just curious, why don't you want to walk? It's an easy walk, no more than ten minutes, probably about the same distance as the front of the park to the back. That's what I would do.

Just caught that- We're taking the bus from the WL. I would not deal with having to take a boat, then switch transportation to a bus. Much easier just to take the bus straight from the WL.

As for walking- some people have issues. I have to limit my walking as much as I possibly can on this upcoming trip. No wasted steps, so when there is a way not to walk, I will.

Same here. On one leg I have knee pain and the other I have foot pain, so I'm trying to conserve my steps. I will probably stick to the bus, I just hope we do not end up waiting too long for it. I do like the boats though and will use them when we can.

The bus is the way to go. A very quick ride and will get you straight to the MK in plenty of time.

I have heard it is a good idea to let the concierge know the night before that you have an early ADR and need a bus. I don't know if it will help, but it couldn't hurt!
