Best way to get to Cape May from POP

I have a res for 8:40am for Cape May and staying at POP. What is the best way to get there and how long do I allow. Thanks for any info. I am sooooooo excited!!!!

The fastest way would be to take a cab over to the Beach Club. The cost will probably be about $15 plus tip.
If you want to use Disney transportation, the best way to go would be to take the bus for DHS from the POP. From there you can walk or take the boat from DHS over to the BC.
Using Disney transportation I would give yourself about an hour for travel time.

At that time Disney transport is going to be difficult. You will be able to get a bus from POP to DHS, but the boats (there are no DHS buses to YC/BC) are few and far between. I am a huge advocate of using Disney transport when staying on site but for resort-to-resort transfers early in the morning would encourage you to take a cab.

It's a good walk--at least 30 minutes...

You will have to head toward the main entrance from the bus stop, but make almost a 180 degree turn and then head toward the parking lot but stay close to the waterway....You will have to cross over the bridge and walk along the water toward the Boardwalk. You'll come out along the bottom side of the Boardwalk across from the Swan. Then you'll need to get out onto the Boardwalk and (I would go left toward the Swan and Dolphin) walk around the lake to the Beach Club.

If it is hot out (summer time) I would not take this route.

Honestly, I know it's going to cost money, but I would highly recommend a cab. You will need to catch the DHS bus by at least 7:15 to get to the Studios in time to make the walk.

In your situation I think a cab is the best option, the distance between the farthest point at POP to the entrance of the Beach Club is less than 3 miles.
Cab should be approx $10. and take no more than 5-10 min.
That is almost another hour of sleep.
