I have tried to figure out a way to get my wife back to WDW this summer. We have been lured by Disneyland the last three years and really I could go back again. I love California and DL so much. But I want to make her happy. I've priced a six night/six day no water park and no park hopping for $2467.00. I really need to get it closer to $2000 for us to make it happen. We always stay at Port Orleans Riverside and really can't dream of anywhere else. We are a family of five.

Is there anyway to get this vacation closer to 2k?
Does anyone remember when they released the 4 for 3 deal last year? Does anyone know how much that would be? Does the 4/3 deal mean they charge you for park hopping and water park and all the extras?

How old are your kids? Have you heard of Disney's YES program? Your kids get to attend an educational fun class inside the theme park and you get deeply discounted tickets. I have heard they are going to do open enrollment in June and July this year. This means your kids can attend the classes without being part of a group of 10. We are going this week, I got 3 5 day park hopper passes for a total of $477 instead of the regular price of $895.

You can also look into renting DVC points. There is a board where people rent their points and you can get a really good discount.

Good luck!

If you are not doing the meal plan then try buying you tixs for the undercover tourist; I did on our last trip and it saved me about $100.

I, too, have purchased from Undercover Tourist before with the mousesavers link and the tickets were delivered quickly and we had no problems using them. I am curious at your children's ages too because we thought about staying at POR but I'm worried there won't be enough room.

My kids are 15, 12, 12. The twins are boy/girl. My son usually will sleep in the bed that lays on the floor at POR in Alligator Bayou but we haven't been there for four years now. I noticed that they have 35% off on the disney site and that drops the price just under $2100 but they also have the gift card offer and if I put it back to regular price of $2467 we would get the card worth $500 so we would be saving $100 with the card. I keep waffling between WDW and DL. World of Color opens this year out there and the Pacific Ocean is just so amazing. We love San Diego and the Hotel Del Coronado as well. But after saying that I've always wanted to do the mouse sprites and possibly parasailing on Seven Seas Lagoon. I've never done anything like that.
