You're going to get all sides of this. My personal recommendation is to, depending on where your room at the Polynesian is located, take the bus either from the TTC or the Polynesian bus stop.

On the way back to the Polynesian from DHS, the Polynesian and TTC pickup queues are usually right next to each other, so you can hop on whichever bus comes first, and usually the TTC bus isn't as crowded. Either way, you double your chance of a bus arriving when you need one.

As the PP said, you'll get all sorts of answers and it really depends on what you mean by "best". Do you mean fastest? Cheapest? Easiest?

I would rule out the monorail to Epcot then bus to DHS because that's pretty time consuming.

For fastest, I would go with the taxi (about $20, plus tip). The bus is probably also a pretty good option... especially if you get there just as the DHS bus pulls up!

So if we have our own car, is it probably fastest to drive from the Poly to DHS?

Free parking since we're resort guests, right?

Are there any helpful hints on parking and getting to the front gate? We've never been to DHS before.

Thanks for any suggestions or tips. :drive:

IMHO, yes, I prefer driving to all of the parks (except MK). Yes, resort guests get free parking at the theme parks. You just have to have the dash board paper (they'll give it to you at check-in so you can park in the Poly's lot) and that is also your pass into the theme park lots.

Realistically, there is usually a CM directing traffic into the parking aisles at the theme parks so you can't pick your own aisles or parking space. Once you park, just follow everyone else and you'll get to the entrance just fine!

Biggest hint???? Take a photo of the signage close to your car!!! It's a huge parking lot. I've been on the tram before and not gotten off at the right place...so had to ride it all around again!!! Know where you leave the car and where you got on the tram!!!
