Best way to get decent rate for Hard Rock Hotel??

I have my heart set on staying at the HRH, what is the best way to go about getting a good rate?

I have read about an AAA card, can I get one in England?, ent rates look non existant this year.....

I'd appreciate any advice......

If you're a member of the AA, it will automatically give you AAA membership too. You used to have to send off to the AA for a paper AAA slip, but I understand that's now no longer required and you can just show your AA card instead.

Other discounts can sometimes be found if you hold a US Annual Pass or an Entertainment card.

The rates at all UStudios hotels are disappointingly high this year, with far fewer discounts, but AAA was the best rate I could find for my dates in July. I'm going to keep checking in case better rates are released nearer the time.

Buy an AP for one of your family. That way you may get a good AP rate.
Also check www.expedia.co.uk They regularly have specials on universal hotels.

Excuse my next dumb question but what is an AP pass and how do I go about getting one of these?

An AP is an Annual Pass for Universal Orlando, ie. an admission valid for one year rather than one of the daily tickets. There are two types of APs for US - one gives completely unlimited admission for a year to both parks (Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure) as well as City Walk (the entertainment district), the other type has a slightly restricted use for the year with selected blackout dates. kev,discounts on the lowes hotels are a nightmare.the best advise is on the universal resort forum.theres been some great prices for the hotels in the past but everyone has jumped on the boat meaning they can keep the prices high.i tried getting the royal pacific on the cheap but after months of checking codes i gave in and went elsewhere.anyhow best of luck to ya.
